Darn fine deal !
Like some others, I too have a large investment in CF and some SM so it would add at least another $40 to the deal to get some MMC of a decent size. And I usually like to have 2 or 3 64mb cards on hand which would make matters worse.
You reckon that might be why they are so cheap?

Thanks for the post, I'm still tempted!

<< Get the docking base at OD for $79 with $20 off $75 coupon. >>

Great idea! Here's a direct link to the Kodak EasyShare Docking Station.

$79.99 Kodak EasyShare Docking Station
-$20 off $75 OD coupon
-1% eBates.com
-free shipping
=======================
$59.39

I wonder if there are any free attache case codes available?

Does anyone have a current OD $20 off $75 coupon? PM me.

Go get a refurb 64mb MMC card at Newegg for $35. Was there just a couple of minutes ago and will not last long.
I thought long and hard and decided not to get it.

If it's not showing in the flash memory category then do a search for Mr. Flash and you should see a refurbished one in the list.

I forgot they also have the 32mb for $18

mmmm..... maybe I'm lookin crosseyed at pricewatch but what I see when you click on the MMC is $42 plus $5 shipping. The $29 is for a card reader.

Kodak must assume that everyone who buys this digicam is going to shell out $79 - $99 for their EasyShare docking station ... I called Kodak tech support asking them since my DX3700 digicam came with a set of Kodak rechargeable batteries is it possible to use an AC adapter (from Radio Shack) to recharge them without having the docking station?

The answer is NO 🙁

3 possible solutions:
1) Buy NiMH batteries elsewhere. This is the route I chose, I found 4 Nexcell AA 1600 mAH with MAHA charger and car adapter for $19.95.
2) Buy the Kodak EasyShare Docking Station for $59.39 from OD.com after $20 off $75 coupon and eBates.com
3) Buy Kodak's EasyShare NiMH Rapid Charger for $34.95 which charges the batteries in 2.5 hours and comes with an extra set of batteries. So you'll have 2 sets of batteries total. One came with your DX3700 digicam and one comes with this rapid charger.

Here's a direct link to that product. Sounds awfully tempting esp considering it comes with FREE SHIPPING and a 30 day warranty.

<< Look on pricewatch. You can get a new MMC 64MEG for $29. >>

Can you provide a link to where you found that price?

Opps. Sorry my bad. I was just looking at the front page with $29 64 MEG MMC on it. When you click on it, it turns out to be a reader. The cheapest MMC is $42.

Hey, LaBang, if you are unsure of what you really want in a digital camera, maybe you should just invest $60 into the DC3200 and use it as a training / decision making device. i have one, and it has really helped me decide which "serious" camera i should buy. besides, the T.V. out 'slide show feature' makes it worthy of being kept around for an archiving / instant replay tool. 😎

My camera takes 4 AA's.

Went to Wal-Mart and got 4 NiMh and a charger for around $20

Don't know what Kodak uses?????????

But a 3mp for under $200, Even without zoom (Opt) sounds good.

After installing the Kodak software crap I'm still not able to transfer picts from digicam to PC via USB.

Anyone else having this problem?

I ordered online and looks like I bought the last one for pickup at the local store. The online price was $199. Will they adjust the difference when I pick it up? I also ordered one online to be delivered. Will they match B&M price? Hmm...

Yes it should show up as $169.99 when you arrive at the store to pick it up.

After you get it, take some pictures and see if you can upload them from camera to PC 😀

<< RossMAN, how come you don't show up on my MSN Messenger? 😕 >>

Because I was about to go to sleep and had MSN off.

It's on now.

Let's keep our conversation "G" rated this time, k?

😀

polotek147 - I know what you mean. 2 years ago when I paid $50 for my Fuji Finepix 1400 digicam (1.3MP) it was retailing for $299 from Amazon.com

LOL Today I can get something with almost 3x the resolution for almost half the price.
