I agree with you. I'd be willing to guess that we'll see it fall to the mid-30s range. This could take until the late part of Spring to happen, though. But, in the late-Summer, be prepared for the prices to start to climb, though. Hold out for a while, then move on it. ;)

well with the coupon it is $47.49 at crucial and if you don't have to pay for taxes...... then it is cheaper.... at least for my case I pay taxes for kingston and crucial. Don't see why you have to pay $5 more.... unless the 5% off coupon has expired.

Yes, higher-capacity memory will always cost more. However, the 256 MB modules (at less than $50) are freakin' cheap. Too bad these laptops don't have more than one open slot. A "pair" of 256 MB modules would be nice. ;)

I thought they have 2 slots and the orignal 128 is in one slot and you can get one more 256 for slot 2 and to get 2x 256 you will have to sacrifice your 128mb....

Seems like a worth-while sacrifice to me. Heck, sell the 128 MB module for $30 (or more) because you can advertise it as "Authentic" Toshiba or HP memory. Then, go pick up (2) 256 MB modules for $98.00. Net price of the upgrade = $68.00. :D

My brother and I were going to get 512mb chips for $127, but we might end up taking these instead. If it hits $35 I will buy it :) -----> hoping

Plus, with Dell, we can use EBates. Correct? Might be the one to move on. ;)

Ordered 2 of the Kingston's for my brother's Compaq 1500 lappy (he couldn't wait). My stubborn ass is waiting a little longer. As least my bro can be the guinea pig to test them - hehe Will keep u all posted

The Kingston was installed to day. Bro says it works perfectly fine. He difinitely saw an increase in general speed of the system (btw he had 256mb before). He said it wasn't a "dramatic" increase. Now I'm thinking he needs a 5400rpm drive ;)

Dell Home Software and Peripherals has 15% off everything for the next 3 days.

256MB DDR SoDimms for my system (Inspiron 8200/Latitude C840) cost only $34.81.
There's no rebate. Just tax and shipping (which would be free if you tack on something to bring
your total over $50. I would think they would work in your HP ZE4101 too.

Use ebates to get an additional 2% back! That would make it only $34.11!

No problems at all.

Kingston lowered from $39 to $36 now (in one day!!!). Is it better than Dell's chips? I am itching to get a pair!!
