I'd bend the angle down a little, make sure I got the stem.

Completely giving up and not caring about anything is the only way to find inner peace and true freedom.

This is true, But only if you take care of business first . Than drop out. Or is your peace of mind and inner peace only good karma if you screw the man first?

You can't afford to.

At higher incomes, you do go into debt whether it be at the week, month or year level.

i can afford to choose not to go in debt. There is a difference. There will come a time in the not so distant future that I will be taking on some calculated debt. My credit score is 800ish already and the debt I would be taking on would be used to make me more money.

While all of you are wondering what to do in the stock market I am slowly investing in myself and my skills.

Hmmm, hate to break it to you Skippy, but I am sure many of the above (myself included) are investing in themselves everyday. People to get into the six figure income bracket+ playing counter-strike all night.

That's my point though...those that despise credit and swear they NEVER use it are simply low income dreamers. They probably pay everything in cash too because they can't get a real bank account.

errr what?

dude you can say some of the off the wall shit. do you live on another planet or something?

I worked for mortgage companies and homebuilders for most of my life. Anytime you are building a house we see into your financial profile even those wanting to pay cash.

I have yet to see more than a couple high earners ($150k to $1MM+ /year) that didn't have extensive credit lines that were in use. Some racked up $50k+ in a month and paid it all off the following...some had $100k+ riding for a few months...

It was always the lower income people that would come in and brag how they had no debt, never had any debt, nor intend too. However, neither did they have any real amount of savings and maybe $10-15k in a 401K. One recurring trend was many of these types had MAJOR credit problems in their past.

i use credit fool. I just don't carry balances and I never said I was the only one investing in myself.

sounds to me like you are sitting on some high interest debt?

Naw dawg, had some that was due to my mortgage company reporting me deliquent as if I was in a HAMP program.

I had 5-7% fixed lines of credit with some college debt on it. Paid it all off though.

You weren't the only one responding to this thread though, fool and most do carry balances at the high end...like I said this idea of no one uses credit/carries balances is bullshit.

Most of the wealthy have an AMEX card they pay off each month, that is usually not their only credit device.

Then stop quoting me and telling me what i am. All I said was I'm glad I dont have debt and you call me poor for that? lol.

i think i've had it with the cc companies. everything is late and strangely i just don't care anymore. what will happen next? anyone else do the same thing before?

**update** 8/13

well FML. my fico dropped drastically after missing a few payments. 50+ points lol. enough for me to start caring again. just sent in a $600 payment to cover a $450 minimum due. sigh. now all of you can suck it and get off my back.

Stealing is stealing, stop trying to make up excuses for it..... 🙄
