SH!T remember guys when I said I picked up 5 sticks, well 2 of them where from this store near my place those where the only ones in there, I came back at 7:30 PM for a surprise raid and I find 4 more on the shelf I talk to this guy named marty I tell him I need more 512MB ram, he takes 5 minutes to find them and they where in front of him he was trying to waste time, he asks how many I want, I tell him all what ya got.
When I bought these two earlier they told me I am gonna have to install them at geek squad, I told him sure but I will schedule an installation for Thursday, he was owned , expecting me to have no laptop and say to me oh sorry we can't give them to you. Off course Thursday I am not coming back
He rings me up, and goes inside and not to come back, till 7:55 and he and the MOD in their tell me that since I have an installation pending I can't have anymore until I bring a laptop to install those other two, I was like you are violating BB policy I can have as much as I want and come back later, you guys are full of sh!t, and he also started wining about the Case# telling me they need to verify it, I told him you guys already verified it, why the Fck do you have to verify it ?
I pick up my phone and call corporate, and here is a surprise offices are now closed.
That a$$hole MOD and the geek squad d##shbag were staling me and there was nothing I can do about it.
So I yell at them and tell them I need my ram now or else.
They were like sorry and they ran away, those POS told me to come back at noon tomorrow.
Tomorrow I am calling corporate to tell them about the details of this incident and to get someone fired, He is Lucky that I have classes at noon and they don't open until 10:00 AM and I have to be on the road at 10:00 AM heading to the university, but still I am going to call corporate and let them email/fax those A$$HOLES at the BB to allow me to get my hands on as much fcking ram as I like.
Any suggestions for my recommended course of action towards that asshole.
 
Why not leave some for other members?? Perhaps other people can benefit instead of you stuffing your pockets....

Ive been trying to get this deal since about 3 days after I learned about the coupon. Two of the Best Buys I go to are completely OOS and the other says that the coupon is not redeemable on advertised ram, and pulls out the whole email. So, unless your going to offer them to other AT members, you could really stop hogging the stock from your BB.
 
So I went with a friend to a Best Buy around here (Atlanta, the one by Peremiter Mall) and pick up a 512mb Sony Memory Stick. My friend goes to the counter with it and the coupon while I'm looking for a gift for my sister's birthday. I walk up the counter to pressure the cashier by making a line and to overhear the conversation. She says that it needs to be installed for the deal to work. My friend: "okay, how much will that be?" her: "$29" and that we'd have to talk to customer service to see about it.

Get to customer service and they say that others have brought in the coupon and that in order to get to the coupon, you "had to click on an agreement on the website saying it was only valid with a computer purchase." I had a feeling these guys wouldn't listen to any argument, plus I was trying to sneak a memory stick under that vague description of "any memory" and had a feeling corporate wouldn't back me up on this one, so I wasn't too worried. I wouldn't mind having some extra memory for the ol' digital camera, but alas, not tonight.



Short version: I didn't get any free memory cards for my digital camera, though others may have luck if they try.
 
umm... find something that will make the boot process painfully slow --like 20+ minutes -and put it on your laptop
bring your laptop in at 10am and leave it

tell them since you're paying for the install, you expect every one of them to be tested -- and you'll be back after school to pick it up.
As you leave your laptop, mention it takes about 20 minutes to boot -- so they might want to start soon. 😛

Yes, the folks doing the hoarding should save a few notebook and PC sticks for those of us who are out of luck! Serious I'll paypal you postage.

I can't get to the only BB within 100 miles until Wednesday and I fear that corporate may pull the plug on the coupon by then. I only plan on getting one stick for my notebook, two PC2700's and a Viking PC3200 for my home/office comps in addition to some other merchandise so I will be paying some $. If there are any left and BB will let me I will get one more free pair to offer up to the group for postage only. I am counting on you multiple trippers to hold off selling your stock until the 10th just incase your fellow AT'ers need a stick or two.

I would have done the same thing to stop axxholes like you from ruining it for everyone. Like you really need four more sticks. Just like shop-lifting, the costs get passed on to the customer eventually; in either no more promotions or higher prices.

If any BB near me allowed the coupons anymore, I would have been happy with one stick which I would actually use for my notebook.

You guys are trying to get a single free stick, why not pay for it it's only $ 59.99 ? Then by your own interpretations you guys are greedy, so if you get one stick of ram for free and everybody else gets one stick of ram for free it's not going to affect the ram price ? I am sure that in these stores I have been in they have seen the coupons for the first time ,I did my invistigations.

I am on a never ending mission to A$$RAPE ever BB there is, tomorrwo I plan on going to that bestbuy with an email from corporate and get my hands on those other 5 sticks of ram and stand infront of the store manager and tell him :

Plus I plan on being the high-tech santa this year these sticks of ram are not going to be used by me My thinkpad already has 2 x 512 MB Corsair DDR 400 CL 2.5 I have no need for it, I plan on giving them out as Christmas presents, that way I have saved myself christmas shopping money and time, since I know almost all of my friends and relatives have laptops that are in disperate need for another stick in there ; ) .
 
And if BB is smart, they'll still deny you and say try and sue us. They definitely don't need customers like you.

And nice, justify your greed b/c others are greedy too. Class, you ooze of it. If you told them how you got them, I bet your friends/family would be so proud of you.

ps. By getting one, I'm not trying to take their whole inventory. And if they put up a fuss, I wouldn't push it b/c we all know it's an error.
 
I don't care what you guys think, and if one of you had an extra ram module I don't think you will be giving it to me in act of kindness.
Oh and do you really think that manager is going to stop me I will slam corporate with their own propaganda about customer service, one call is enough.
And do you really think that when corporate decided to honor this deal they didn't put cases like mine into consideration. But hey when BB gets the chance to collect money from me they don't say no keep it in your pocket maybe later, so I am applying the same to them and giving them the buissnes end of my boot.

If you want to "A$$RAPE" your local stores for all their RAM and re-gift them at Christmas go ahead. Just remember two things, its not really giving if you got it for free, and you may be taking away from a fellow AT'er.

Offering to share the spoils would be more in line with the spirit of this board.

I wasn't boasting about getting 5 sticks, screw the ram don't you guys see it's screwing BB that makes me tingle with anticipation :evil: , and sure if I get any helpful info I will post ASAP.
It's not really about getting lucky with the store it's about having a strong personality, ok I am not boastiing about my personality here but I am saying that don't let any a$$wipr rip you off your rights especially for you guys that talked to the BB once they said no you guys went away, that manager was violating BB policy when he refused to negoatiate with me and ignored the case # and told me that he will not honor his own company's offers, and as a customer I shoved his sorry ass down his throat and made him appologize and ring me up himself.
He is not paying for it if corporate wants to give out free ram, then I don't see the guilt in here, it's not his company/store.
And for you guys who were wining about me getting so much, I didn't have it planned like that when you get the chance to check in into a BB that will let you use the cpns imagine it when you are infromt of the D!CK Squad section and there lies 6 sticks of 512 ram and you can get them all for 6 lousey paper copies, It really feels like using fake currency COOL.

Yes, if I had an extra ram module I would send it to you, if you needed it and paid postage. I already offered that to those who missed out. I will just have to see what the climate is at the one and only store within 100 miles of my home when I drive out there on Wednesday. I find people want to help you more if you are nice to them, so I plan on being polite but firm. Any other case #'s or corporate emails are appreciated.
 
My total went up to 18 memories and 2 laptop bags, from which we changed all our laptop memories to 2x512mb = 1gb and took out the old 2 x 256mb ones 🙂
But now i am starting to see that memories is out of stock, looks like bestbuy is getting a big hit from this deal.
 
Yeah, thx to jackaxxes like you. 18 sticks of memory? You'd think most people would have been happy with one. Makes me hope BB learn never to allow freeloaders to take an advantage to an obvious error in their promotions again.

I'm going to forward this link to BB corporate to educate them on how allowing folks to use these kind of tactics aren't their real customers and shouldn't be given any generosity.

I dont mind screwing over BB after all the screwing over of me they have done. But other members would like a stick or even two of RAM. When you guys go ahead and start clearing all the shelves of every store nearby, how is anyone else gonna benefit? Obviously, they arent, and you guys are A*Holes for hoarding all this stuff for yourselves. Theres no way you had 9 laptops to fill up with RAM. And even so, you could at least donate the 2x256 sticks to other members who have empty shelves @ their best buys or dont have stupid best buy managers running their store (what I would give for one of those!!!). I bet instead, were just going to see ebay flooded with RAM for like $60 a pop....
 
anyone that was able to get a bunch of free sticks want to help my girlfriend out. She needs another 512 to power her laptop to do her autocad homework.

I dont know how many you got, but people who went and got 5 or 6+ ruined it for everyone else. I am just hoping one of them feels bad enough about it to help someone out who really needs it.

Bro it was not for you it was for those 2 jerks. I got 2 from each store so i went to 9 different stores and got 18. So i did not steal any bodies share 😉 because it was 2 per person in every store.
