Number one, it's fascism but the real issue here as I see it is your seeming inability to emotionally identify normal sensibilities as to what are important and relevant issues. People on the left are vitally aware that we are sliding into fascism under Trump, that he has demigod sensibilities, that he has a lust to rule as an unopposed authoritarian and has made this lust manifestly clear. He is a danger to everything that is best about our nation. In this emotional climate and critical situation that it is vital to fix, you wander into the discussion because for you with your emotional disconnection to the real subject at hand, you find this to vital windmill at which to tilt, namely that democrats can become authoritarian too. Nobody who is watching Trump destroy our country right now wants that to be the topic of this thread. And what happens when you get told so, you go on and on about how the left can really be authoritarian, as if your life depended on it. When people tell you you can't read, they mean you can't pick up on relevant emotional context. Maybe you may have Asperger's Syndrome or something like that. At any rate, you bitterly defend bones that have no marrow. You don't keep up and it looks motivated, like you do it intentionally so as to remain opaque to content that might disturb you emotionally.

Still nope.

Here's what you do:

You said nope to a post in which I said you misspelled fascism. You spelled it 'facism'. Be honest. Did you or did you not misspell fascism? Yep, you did. Be honest and admit it.

So George Will wrote an article for WaPo a couple weeks ago encouraging voters to vote against the GOP in November because the balance of power in Washington has tilted so dramatically, and because the GOP Congress is not fulfilling its Constitutional mandate to check abuses of power from the GOP-controlled executive. It was a thoughtful and well-written article regarding the intent of the Framers when they wrote the checks and balances into the Constitution in order to preserve freedom in America in perpetuity.
The right wing response in the 6,600+ comments was (condensed) that anything other than absolute single party rule by the GOP is anti-America, that any media voice (fake news!) that dares speak out against the God Emperor should be outlawed, that George Will should be imprisoned, and that his desire to see balance in government and checks on abuses of power comes only from his hatred of Trump, America, and (of course) his latent racism against white people.
But I'm sure the Democrats are just as bad, right?

Don't confuse GOP with Right or Left. Hell, the GOP is not even really the party of small government anymore.

The GOP represents a larger problem to the country that the Dems for sure.

He is spot-fucking-on?

No.

Trump should be stopped. What I worry about is the Left turning themselves into what they are trying to fight. What I worry is another Red Terror situation, where the Left starts to mimic the fascists. This has happened multiple times in history. Spain, Russia, China and other countries have shown what can be done when an extreme Left goes too far. We all know Nazi Germany as an example of Right fascism and how horrific it was, but learn very little of the other side of fascism.

Fascism needs to be called out regardless of the side. This is not a non-issue, and I understand the emotional side of the Left. Moonie may remember an email I sent to him when he was having a hard time about this issue. I told him that the Left needed to stay strong and fight. You can verify that with him if you would like.

I worry about fascism. That means I focus on the Right more often that the Left, but it can come from both, and that is historically proven.

As for being on the spectrum, that is well fucking off. He is not a doctor as far as I know, and if he is shame on him for attempting to diagnose me through this medium.

Don’t confuse your confusion in understanding of what Vic said with him being confused. You dinegrate his clarity by suggesting yours is greater when it is just about something rather unrelated to what is pertinent to most of us here but not to you. You are not keeping up and going on a outside issues, as usual.

Oh, Moonie. Where did that facade of letting your ego die go? No pointless meandering down paths that are meaningless?

Amazing how ignoring you for almost a day gets you to drop your bullshit.

I'm not aware of you ever focusing on the right more than the left. Hell! In this very post your concern is more with whether or not the left will start acting like the right is CURRENTLY ACTING RIGHT FUCKING NOW!

What you worry about is your marrow less bone, marrow less in the more relevant topic here. You have injected a personal terror, a fear of an authoritarian left instead of recognizing the real danger. You do this because you feel emotionally impelled to see the world in terms of your personal sacred cows. Meanwhile, while you worry about nerve agents the world is going up in flames. It doesn’t matter one fuck there can be danger from an authoritarian left any more than if you were warning us all about the dangers of scuba diving. Your colored lenses constantly lead you to bring irrelevancy to any topic. And I am not interested in diagnosing you, I,m trying to help you not to be such a fool by describing what you do as clearly as I can.

You no doubt feel I am annoyed by your antics, but you just make me laugh. The very first time I went for guidance the psychologist I went told me I was defensive. “Nope, not me! You are probably just not as self familiar as I am with the absurdity of being human.

The vast majority of people on P&N are on the Left. Goes to reason that you would see more engagement that is directed to the Left no? You dont know my personal life, but the vast majority of my immediate family are Right wing. They voted for Trump and still support him. I spent the majority of my childhood debating the Right on its hypocrisy. Hell, my mom was on welfare for the majority of my childhood and was hard core Republican. Imagine the shitstorm I got into when I asked her why she would be part of a party that thinks she is lazy.

I have also said this many times before here, but I will say it again. I see engaging the Left to be far more productive than the Right currently. The Right long ago accepted it's crazies and its been at a huge cost to themselves and the nation.

I took a nap but I apologize. I think I’ve been taken in by how sincere your protests of innocent honesty appear. I should have realized we might share some common experience like living with the guilt of being Mother killers. I didn’t have the additional burden of insecurity due to poverty, however. Perhaps down the road pounding your head on the same wall over and over again, some of what I have tried to tell you may begin to seep through. The idea that I was reacting to being ignored or had even noticed is too weird for me to deal with. I do worry though, about the damage you do,and not just to yourself, by beating that wall with your head. Good luck to you.

So for your whole life you've engaged in debating the right and pointing out their hypocrisy and now you've come here to what exactly? Show your concern about the left getting too uppity?

You would think that if your whole life was debating with righties and things haven't changed and maybe even got worse you'd be coming here to this "mostly left" forum to figure out how to combat the plague that is the right wing mentality as opposed to shitting on those who are doing just that.

But maybe the complete take over of government by right wing thinking doesn't concern you and things like the definition of fascism are more important to you.

First, I did not come to this Forum to debate people. This is a tech forum and that is why I came here. I spent a long time on here an never came into P&N.

That said, the Right is not a plague, extreme beliefs are. The Right as I said embraced their extreme elements and upset the balance. The only reasonable way that I see of setting things right is for the Left to stay reasonable for as long as possible. I hold no illusion that Nazis would have been stopped without WWII, and violence is sometimes needed. I also know that we are very far from that point and can still turn things around.

The Right is dominated by common wisdom and preserving what works, whereas the Left is about progress and innovation to improve things. The Right tries to build structures that give power to those that should run things, and the Left keeps an eye on those structures to make sure they are not abused. Currently, that is not how things are being done. Both sides are not striving for an equilibrium but for ways to remove the impedance of the other. This is expected as both sides think they are correct and the other incorrect. The problem is when one side picks up the tools of the other.

The reason the Right is prone to fascism is because they are the side that builds the power structures that keep society in line. Unchecked they lead to fascism. The Left is prone to tearing everything down because it wants equality even if that makes things worse. So, what do we do when one side has lots its mind and the other wants to lose it too?

Ultimately, I push for the Left to improve because I think currently the Right is a lost cause until they get back on track. Or, to say it another way, I want to empower the side that I think can help us all. If the Left becomes violent and tries to remove those that it disagrees with, it becomes the monster its trying to fight, because that is the goal of fascists.

Please. Trump & the GOP are tearing down the whole system. And, uhh, why should the right wing billionaire funders of the GOP run things, anyway? What's in it for the rest of us other than the fantasy of trickle down?

No dummy. Trump wants to build a strong power structure that he controls. If you believe he is a fascist, that you have to believe that is its literally part of what that is.

As for why should a billionaire run things, wtf are you bringing that up for. There is no reason that a billionaire should, but that was not part of this at all. You are a dumb puppy.

Trump must first neutralize or co-opt the existing structure.

Why should Billionaires run things? Because the GOP obviously thinks that's who should run things. Hence your statement-

The Right tries to build structures that give power to those that should run things

Who else would they be talking about, given their actions?

OP's thread title is wrong.

Should be:

Beta cuck MAGA fan sits there and takes it from an Alpha Liberal.

A 30 years old grown man bullied and assaulted and stole from a 16 years old kid and the kid is a cuck and the bully is an alpha? And you want to debate as adult as you claimed in another thread?
