If you've ever read the book Boot, you'd know what to do.
Boot is about Marine Corps basic training. There was a smelly Marine in the bunch, so finally, one day, they scrubbed him with buckets of sand as "water" and those really, really stiff bristle brooms that the military uses until he was bleeding. After that, he always took a shower.
In all reality with this guy, someone needs to pull him aside and let him know that it's a serious issue. Tell him that if the problem isn't resolved, you're taking it higher up at the school because he's literally a health hazard to the rest of you. Although it's a school, I'm pretty sure there are OSHA standards to be adhered to but are often overlooked.
Hell, I had a soldier, real gung-ho type too. He wanted nothing more than to be in the field, crawling in the dirt and blowing $hit up. Real good guy, but his hygiene was questionable. I finally told him that his hygiene could get people killed on the battlefield. He didn't believe me at first, but when I explained that by not keeping clean he was opening himself up to infection, etc. and if he's not combat effective and can't fight, then other people die.
The moral of it is, there is always a way to tell someone something that's not easy to tell and get them to listen. Find a connection and hammer away on it and this guy will get the clue. Hell, tell him that you'll get him banned from the computing labs at school because of his hygiene and his contact with equipment that everyone else has to use. There's a way to fix this without childish yelling or embarassment.
The video is funny though.... 😀
