He might have more weight, but he's prolly also got 3.73's while I have 4.10's... I could be wrong though ;)

So far, mostly city driving...

How can I tell what final drive ratio I have?

Also, how big is the fuel tank here? Filled it up today, seemed like it only held about 24 gallons or so.

Nope, it is about 5,700lbs if I recall...

Gotta have engine, exterior, and other pics too.

How's the fuel economy? I truly despise SUV's on the basis that if I want to get 15 MPG in the city, I'll get a full sized truck with just as much seating and 50% more cargo room.

-PAB

Nope, that has the 5.3 in it...

You do know the engine looks like every other 5.3 Chevy engine, right? :) It is a 2000 Black Suburban LT, haven't you seen about a million of them? Fine, I'll take a few tomorrow... ;)

Not enough track record, but 15mpg looks to be about right so far. Better than the 12mpg I was getting in the 4x4 Expy.

A full size truck will not haul 8 people in comfort. :) With the back two rows folded down, this will haul 4x8 sheets of plywood. A Chevy 2500HD with a crew cab and a bed long enough to do that is nearly two feet longer than this truck, much too long for normal driving. Sheesh, this thing is itself a foot longer than the Expy and long enough as it is...

Grasshopper

Wont hold 8 people in comfort? 5 up front, 3 rolling around like morons in the bed. Hey, I didnt say I had to seat them legally! :D

I know this is sad but on your Service Parts Identification label, it's GT4 = 3.73 GT5 = 4.10

You have the 26 Gallon tank, the 3/4 ton comes with a 34

Edit: There is an aftermarket 40 Gal available if I remember right ;)

Hey LAUST, while I have you here.....

Guess what? The passenger door on the astro is now 100% non-functioning. Is there any way a non-mechanically inclined soul can pull the door panel from the inside, without having to remove the passenger seat, with the door closed to try and fix it?

I've never worked on the van doors, but if it's the standard 3 screws then undo the last 2 under the handle it can be done.

I've never worked on the van doors, but if it's the standard 3 screws then undo the last 2 under the handle it can be done. Undo the screws all located by the handle (if it's the same as most vehicles) then undo the clips at the top and pull stright up. then watch your light and speaker wires

10-4. I'll let you know if I break anything tomorrow.
