This is why I get so frustrated with fans who act like these players are playing cards and they are weak and not strong enough when they can't play when they are injured. People don't give these players enough respect for what they do or even understand what type of injuries they play with.

Though I don't think this would have changed the outcome. But, we'll find out next year when they play again.

In honor of this thread and all the lulz it's contained, I plan to choose a team to root for which may be successful in a few years so I can come into the year 20XX Super Bowl thread to talk shit about "my team" and berate other fans as "bandwagon jumpers."

Anyone want to help me pick a suitable team for this purpose? Has to meet the following criteria.

1. Has to look believable that I was a long-time fan. That rules out the Jets since no one would ever admit to being a fan and it's doubtful they even exist.
2. Has to be realistic chance the team can win it all while I'm still alive. That rules out the Lions because, well do I even have to explain this one?
3. Has to be a city or team where I can construct a plausible backstory why I came to be a fan. That rules out the Browns because there ain't a fucking thing about Cleveland or the Browns I can possibly think as a positive about that huge pile of shite.

Other than that, I look forward to everyone's suggestions and to quoting this thread in the future thread where my team has just won the Big One. Can't wait to trash talk some mo'fos.

Shouldn't you wait to pick the team until the team is actually good? IE, you've always been a seahawks fan, you even met the guy who named the team!

Tampa. There's a spark there, somewhere, and they might be competitive again in the next 3-5 years. Plenty of reasons why people suddenly become Tampa/Miami/Jax...oh, lol, forget that one.

You're old. You moved to Florida. Boom! Tampa Bay fan.

For all of you fake football fans, the game is being replayed on the NFL Network with all of the in game audio. Pretty cool.

Brady's speech to his Offense before the first snap of the game is awesome.
It started seven, eight months ago, right? All for this moment. It’s about honor. It’s about respect. We win this game, you’re honored! Your kids are honored! Your families are honored! Win on three!”

After McDaniels tells Brady that Lane is out of the game, he asks who his replacement is...

I'm a real fan, so I DVR'd it and already watched it 5 times. Thanks for informing the low-IQ peons, though....I guess.

Yeah, but us peons like to hear the in game audio and analysis b/c I'm not smarter enough to analyze the game myself.

Right after Seattle scores before the end of the first half, Brady says 'that's alright, we're going to beat their ass in the second half.'

That's actual useful. Showtime also has the audio from parts of the game on Inside NFL.

Jackass.

Real fans went to games at Shaefffer when the team was owned by the douche bag Sullivans, and parked for free on North St.

Real fans used SKYNET tech to go back in time to tip off the Pats as to what play the Hawks were going to run at the goal line. It's not cheating, just good scouting!

This has devolved into an e-penis contest? Seriously?
← has no penis, e or otherwise

As for Andre Tippet's autograph, big deal. He lives around the corner, could get it any time I want.

Los Angeles. They'll have an NFL team (again) before you die.

Your back story is that you were a LA Rams fan back in the day, who moved to St. Louis when the Rams moved there . . . but now your BACK, baby, in the City of the Angels.

You're also close personal friends with Roman Gabriel, but you don't like to brag about it.

haha, awesome.

...but what's wrong with Roman Gabriel? he's like, one of our very rare heroes!

🙁

oh wait, I misread.....right on, man. right. on.

😉

LOL. Why embarrass yourself more? So, you became a fan after they won their first Super Bowl in 2001. Thanks for confirming that you're a band wagon fan. 😀

I guess You'd be embarrassed to have Edelman or the hoards of people cheering what he did as Pats fans as well.

http://espn.go.com/espn/story/_/pag...chard-sherman-meme-sign?ex_cid=espnapi_public

As I said you don't understand the pulse of the Patriots nation. Unlike the 1st 3 times, where it was just good winning. This one was about shutting up the naysayers.

lol @ Sherman's face

That's one thing I was dying to see, for over a year now. A dose of his own medicine, he had it coming, the brash son of a bitch. 😀
I would have loved for Brady to go over to Sherman for a "you mad bro" moment but I know he's got more class than that. Sherman was prancing around the sidelines holding up 2 fingers like the game was already won and he has two rings, not tonight asshole, not tonight.

re: the play call, hindsight is 20 20. It was 2nd down with 0:25 and one timeout remaining, the Pats had brought in the goal line stand guys. The OC made the call.

that Kearse catch though...damn, Wilson has a Golden Horseshoe inside him
He gets alot of those because he puts alot of air under the ball on those long throws (and they are to tall, leaping receivers). Kaepernick should be paying attention!

It was a great throw, it was defended perfectly, it was lucky to have the deflection come down right on top of you but I do have to credit Kerse for maintaining concentration on the ball to corral it for a completion.

Thrown perfectly. Geez, His sh_t probably smells like roses to you too. It was a LOB or a Jumpball. If you don't believe me listen to the commentary of the game on Inside the NFL.

read more blogs bro.

just read bill walshs first two books and start read the wikis about the 3-4 and 4-3 Defense. learn how a defense works and then move to the offense.

It amazes me how many football fans dont know what a 5 technique is or how to tell if someone is in man to man. Super easy.

Would be a cool thread wouldnt it?
