Legions of Boom won't be so booming when Russel Wilson gets his $20mil/year contract (unless he goes Brady's route with hometown discount). That's 20 million away from defense, very large chunk of cash.

Patriots were at its best in 2001, 2003, and 2004 when Brady had team friendly contract.

This is why I think it was important for them to win this one, in addition to the fact Sherman has 40 Million guaranteed

Superbowl teams always lose key player to FA. Way of the world, I guess.

I'm betting that when we see some of these guys go to teams where their flaws are more exposed because they simply don't have the talent around them to mask mistakes, we'd really see most of the dudes are average individual players.

without a doubt.

But I feel better with that ending than the next 3 or 10 years of Pats and Brady homers complaining that Brady only loses on lucky dumbass never could ever happen plays (the Hearst catch--which should have been a Lynch TD).

These types of games are the one's where anything can and sometimes does happen, who would have thought GB would lose after dominating for 3 qtrs in the NFC champ. game? who would have thought that catch could have possibly been made with the receiver on the ground, on his back and the ball spins into his arms. What I think we are learning is defenses expend a great deal of energy in big games and have a tendency to get gassed, GB was clearly gassed at the end of that game, Seattle's pass-rush started to fade in the 4th Qtr as did NE's pass coverage. Still a heck of a play by Butler to recognize the play and jump the route, if your the receiver your supposed to get position so that can't happen. I did not trust NE's defense with 2:10 left and Seattle having 3 time-out's as well, their DB's were gassed and you could tell by the completion to Lynch for 30yds on the first play. How could NE NOT know they were going to throw to Beast-mode and allow that catch?, tired players would be my answer.

...and were a Niners fan, suddenly, near the end of that season.
And no, you got your facts wrong, but I don't really care what you think. You're irrelevant.

The team started to act like a bunch of classless assholes, have fun rooting for them.

for sure. Also, maybe there was some galactic karma shift to repay that witch Seattle leached off from McCarthy's idiocy throughout the NFCCG.

...still, Lynch's last game with Seattle, and he should have won them a Superbowl in the final seconds. That's gotta sting.

Rumor has it before game time, they were working out a long-term deal for Lynch.

well, that would be super. suck to see him on another team right now...but that's a lot of money going to 3 people next year, if it happens.

Just heard on ESPN from Clayton that Sherman may need Tommy John.

Wow, that may carry over into next season.

Pitchers in baseball usually miss entire seasons with off season TJ surgery.

Yeah, it was shortly before the coin toss that came out. The Lions are in a similar situation with Suh, and Megatron is willing to restructure to keep him, at least.

I think recovery is much shorter now with amazing magic stem cells.

honestly, Suh needs to go. He's a freaking disaster. Sucks, because he's so talented.

I don't like him, but dude is rare...JJ Watt type rare.

You really cannot let him go unless he makes it impossible to resign him.

Watching him every week, he impacts the game without having to have any stats. Rare to see that in football, I think.

Sting, more like a shot-gun blast to the face. Anyway I'd be shocked if Seattle does not do everything they can to re-sign BM, he is the heart and soul of that team, his relentless play has me in awe at times, in the GB game he had about 8 people on him, LB's, DE's, safeties, all formed a ball-mass of humanity around him YET HE WAS STILL GOING FORWARD, I'm sitting there watching this and saying "WTF, how is this even possible?"..

I really hate when sore losers go after the media for no reason.

Michael Bennett, predictably, ripped a questioner for not "doing anything physical" in his life beside picking up a microphone when speaking about fighting after the game-losing INT.

'U mad' at your coach and QB, attack the media...sure.

We are the Champions of the WORLD!!

I told you the SeaHawks Defense was overrated. Brady had 4 touchdowns and like 37 completions on 50 passes. Sounds like the All time great defense right? Lol..

The Seahawks were fortunate our nickel back Arrington sucks on those outside passes. Where would Seattle be without those Bombs or if Belichick would had benched him earlier.

Also, isn't it amazing. The team that talks so much at the end of the game when they realize they couldn't back it up then tries to start a fight?

We are the Champions of the WORLD!!

And I think that 2nd down play had a lot to do with Lynch's contract than anything else.

Brady was throwing at a 2nd stringer all night because of injury replacement.
The Pats were one dumb call away from losing, and you crying into your shitty corona.
contract conspiracy with that call? Are you high? Do you actually watch football?

where was the outright dominance that you predicted?

They're not overrated, Michael Bennett dominated the Pats O-line. It's just the Patriots match up well against the one weakness the Seahawks D has - can't cover the short crossing routes and small, quick, shifty guys like Edelman. Brady didn't throw at the Seahawks best corners, he just took advantage of the matchups (Gronk against a LB and Edelman vs 4th string backup corner).

Did we watch the same game? Lane's replacement wasn't covering every single one of BRady's completions. And I guarantee if Lane was in the game, he would have been shat on as well, you know why? Because Brady is the best Quarterback to have played the game.

Now back to Seattle being overrated. How many points did the greatest defenses of history give up? The Ravens during their run? The Steel Curtain? Like I said Seattle's D was overrated based on the terrible Offenses they played at the end of the season. They gave up 4 TD's and over 300 yards to a QB with hardly no running game.

Now when Belichick benched Arrington, how many points did Seattle score? 0. Because WIlson, couldn't throw those LOBS anymore and he reverted back to the quarterback he was the 1st quarter.

Btw, you guys were only at the goal line on some Bullshit catch.

And yes contract conspiracy with the call. Why else would you think they would make such a stupid call? They have two agendas. Score and run the clock. And so they throw a pass from the 1? yeah right. THey didn't want Lynch winning that game or it would be harder not to pay him or even release him. You should probably know more about your team. I bet if you watch the post game analysis others will make the same point.

Now act like the losers your team are and go hide..
