I've been having ass-poor internet connections. Even AT dies on me frequently.
Power cycle both the modem, router, etc. On a hunch, I unplug the router (DI-604) and feed the cablemodem directly into my PC.
Presto - instant 2MBps download speed.
Flash the router to 2.20, reboot, powercycle, reset to default, etc, etc etc.
112KBps download. WTF.
And the best part is, D-Link's "24-hour tech support" logo-feces they smear all over their products? Doesn't apply to Canada.
Anyone had this? Is it fixable, or am I looking at an RMA?
Update - Well, evidently the router filtered out my nasty commentary and decided to commit suicide! Hopefully this will give me enough grounds to return it for credit and buy something decent. Leaning towards a Linksys 4-port. Anyone have any horror stories about them?
