you're starving yourself... and probably slowing down your metabolism at the same time... i say you go run at those cheap dirty old treadmills anyway... :D

when i was at the gym, my stomach was starting to show cubes (at least the top 2). now a layer of fat is beginning to form, again.

damn...forgot about the metabolism thing. it's too cold to do anything outside now. hm..at work, i think i'll run up the stairs at full speed till i'm exhausted when i get in the morning, and return from lunch (2min, 2x/day) till it gets warmer outside

i've haven't eaten breakfast for 15 years. my body has adjusted already for that. if i eat breakfast now, i'm thinking it would be bad in this case.
I also CAN'T eat breakfast (all my life) - it RUINS my entire day - I NEED to be UP for 4 hours before I eat solid food. Some people ARE different. You need to find out what works best for you BUT . . . EXERCISE WORKS BEST FOR EVERYONE - and you can exercise indoors. But whatever you do - DON'T skip your regular meals - just eat less . . . as many others have mentioned - it puts your body into starvation mode.

What has worked for me (when I can't Surf - which is my Sport) is to get up from the table halfway through my meal and just take a 10 minute break . . . If I am still hungry after 10 minutes and it looks appetizing, I finish it . . . If not - I put it away. You'd be surprised at how "full" you are with 1/2 a meal. Sometimes eating is just a "habit" and we don't notice out body's signal that we had "enough".

ALSO - CUT OUT EMPTY CALORIES - sodas, sweets and fried foods.

Ok, i'm eating a handful of nuts (Almonds, pecans, walnuts -> NO PEANUTS) for breakfast, and a salad or plate of veggies for dinner. How's that sound now?

Starving yourself DOES NOT WORK!!! You need to exercise!!!

What happens when you don't eat enough calories is your body starts to eat itself (to get the required food). But it DOESN'T start with fat... it starts with muscles. It saves the fat for later.

You are doing yourself wrong if you try to eat less. The key is to eat healthy, and exercise more.

It sounds like something you'll have trouble sticking with. Start your morning with some cereal/oatmeal or some fruit, have that salad for lunch, and for dinner maybe have some chicken or fish. Use the nuts as a snack - replace other sweets you might eat with fruit. As others have said, this method of eating small meals throughout the day will help you maintain a higher metabolism which will result in you burning more calories and as long as you don't make these meals too big you'll start to lose weight. Cardiovascular exercise is the way to go, with jogging and aerobics being the simplest options and swimming as a great alternative if its available to you. The atkins diet may be affective, but ketosis has its own drawbacks.

Try the Montignac diet. It all depends on WHAT you eat. If you eat the right things, you can eat as much as you want.

Your bigggest meal should be breakfast. Your digestive system burns up a lot of calories when it's active. So if you don't eat breakfast, you're not burning any of those calories until you do eat. Plus, eating accelerates your metabolism, so if you eat breakfast then eat lunch, less of the calories from your lunch go to fat.

And don't drink ANY soda. or beer.

Do some pushups first thing in the morning. That will turn some of your muscles on which then request sugar the rest of the day, and they metabolize it instead of your insulin directing it to your fat.

And drinking more water helps too.

Eating salad is okay as long as you don't overdo with dressing or extras. Plus when you eat more meat, your digestive system burns MUCH more calories to break it down, and it takes hours for it. So eat lean meat with every meal.
