You must have an easy fucking life to waste your time on shit like this.

I dunno. We take our flag very serious, especially our vets.

I used to work with a guy who was pretty messed up from Vietnam. The one thing he had left was his patriotism. There is a tire dealer across the street that flies a HUGE flag. Probably 20x10? Anyways, it would get really tore up during the spring and they didn't replace it. The guy called them and asked them nicely to replace it. They declined and he went on a mission. After months of basically stalking their manager the flag got replaced and has not been like that since.

Its not just a piece of cloth. Lots of brave men died to make sure that flag meant something.

This coming from a guy who just crawled off his mothers tit and got his very first real life job. I guess you don't find proud country men where you are from.

Why bother posting on this predominantly American forum with your fuck head buddy Gayner. 90% of your posts are you two cutting people down and claiming superiority...the other 10% of your posts are you saying how tasty sheep cum is. No one needs to hear it.

BTW, I am not from the USA.

What the fuck are you talking about? I have had many jobs in my life time. Maybe you're confused because I got my first job out of university? Lay off the crack pipe, dumbass.

You know ee cummings better than I do? That poem is basically the antithises of your flowery diatribe, sun moon stars rain.

That poem and my post are complementary parts of a greater gestalt, the crazy quilt mosaic of life that embraces and transcends seeming contradictions in an ever evolving dialectical process, thesis, antitheisis into synthesis, known in the East as ying into yang into yin again, each seeming opposite always containing the other, something you have yet to grasp.

First there is a mountain, then there is no mountain, then there is.

One of the best definitions of intelligence is that it's the ability to hold two seeming contradictory ideas in your head at the same time.

Grow up and spend more time in the real world, then maybe we'll talk. You're not nearly as precious and precocious as your mommy believes.

You take but one side and strut your yip yap yowl. You think you know ee cummings. You don't know shit. His love for America is my love for America, writ by a different hand:

"America makes prodigious mistakes, America has colossal faults, but one thing cannot be denied: America is always on the move. She may be going to Hell, of course, but at least she isn't standing still."

You don't see and you don't know and you can't feel his love for America, which is my love for America, because you're a callow little twerp with a hard on and nothing to stick it in. Throw a towel over it, Pancho.

The signal difference between you and me is that I know what I don't know, while you are full jejune certainty. Look out where you're going, Leroy.

As I sd to my
friend, because I am
always talking, -- John, I

sd, which was not his
name, the darkness sur-
rounds us, what

can we do against
it, or else, shall we &
why not, buy a goddamn big car,

drive, he sd, for
christ's sake, look
out where yr going.

It's actually a Federal Crime to display the American Flag that way.

Perhaps this doesn't matter to you because american's are patriots and Kiwis are criminals ... you know... the whole.... Austrailia was a prison thing...

Kiwis are New Zealanders... not Aussies you dumb fuck.

Considering you last posted about that on 10-02-2010... 12 days.. it's not really that old...

and you commented on a post that was like a week ago... so the timeframe is similar.

There's nothing wrong with nationalism. Irrational nationalism beyond reason is what makes people look ridiculous.

except Irrational is in the mind of the beholder...

To you... respect for the flag apparently is irrational..
To many of us... it's Patriotism.

No, respect for the flag is fine. Being a federal crime to mistreat the flag in a country that laughably calls itself free is irrational. You really don't see that?

A free country doesn't mean there are no laws... stop using that as an excuse for your "attacks" .. The USA is not an anarchist society.. there are laws that govern society...

Perhaps you should familiarize yourself with your own national laws.

In New Zealand, under the Flags, Emblems and Names Protection Act 1981 it is illegal to destroy the New Zealand flag with the intent of dishonouring it.

New Zealand actually has the law on the books. Perhaps you should stop posting how much of a free society New Zealand is... and learn your national laws.

I think what he means is that no country runs around talking about freedom like the United States, and given that, it's hilarious how the USA comes off as laughingly hypocritical.

New Zealand on the other hand doesn't run around and tell the rest of the world how free it is.

I was recently in Astoria, Queens and I passed by the Kaufman Astoria Studios. They have an American flag hoisted on the roof of the building. The flag is all torn up and needs to be replaced. I reported this to the studio but they've done nothing. It's unacceptable to have the American flag looking like this. It may as well be upside down. Who can I report this too?

Update:

311 did nothing. However, there is a brand spanking new American flag on the building. I'm not sure whether it was my insistence on them changing the flag or my call to the various newspapers that finally got them to replace Old Glory. But what's done is done.

i hate people like you

live your life and stop going out of your way to get involved in others.

"Where ever there is freedom, there is my home."
-Ben Franklin

"The world is my country and all mankind are my brethren."
-Thomas Paine

Our founding fathers did not practice this flag worshiping nationalistic bullsh!t. I like the United States because the ideals it represents. Some of your treat it like it's a religion. The flag is not sacred, it's a representation of the government, which is the necessary evil we use to enforce and create laws.

I care not a bit which country I live in, so as long as I'm free. That's the attitude our founding fathers have and unless you have the attitude to, you will always be a slave to the government, even when the country ceases to be "free", but your blind patriotism will insist to you it is free out of your delusional superiority of your government.

Go ahead and disagree with me, but this is the attitude this country was founded upon. Distrust of government. Distrust of blind patriotism.

I'm one of the most patriotic people you'll ever meet, yet "I love my country but fear my government" is something I firmly believe. Being nationalistic and patriotic does NOT mean you believe in BLIND patriotism...in fact, being patriotic is just the opposite. Questioning our government is one of the most patriotic things an American can do. The whole "My country, right or wrong" is one of those things that I DO NOT support.

NEVER trust your government to do the right thing...unless they're forced to do so.

you sure are a low-class piece of shit. nice move pulling out someone else's personal problems on a different subforum and then taunting them for it. sure, it's something you could do, but only someone as invective-ridden, pernicious and small-minded like you would go for it every time...

New Zealand was a settler colony of the British Empire. They went around the world slaughtering everyone claiming they were doing it for freedom and civilization. They still celebrate that history today.
