Funny how the Philadelphia Police use youtube to catch criminals.

I think it's smart look how much attention it's getting and look at the quality of the video. This guy is going to get nabbed unless he goes into deep hiding and judging by his suit he's probably at least somewhat high profile in his community. I watch worlds dumbest and most shocking now and then on tv and it always surprises me how poor the video quality is. It's like why even bother installing surveillance. In this video you can practically count the man's nosehairs and with that kind of quality you bet the first step is throwing it up on youtube.

....I don't see how. I don't view everyone around me as racist, certainly most people here seem upstanding and intelligent. This definitely isn't some sort of racist forum or whatever, which is what you're implying. Actually I very rarely see racism here (granted I'm not always looking for it as an excuse).

What's your explanation for there are so many videos of violent blacks versus violent whites?

You are correct, this forum isn't racist in fact there are very specific rules regarding racism and the penalties for racist remarks are severe ( infact I seem to recall a sticky reagrding the use of euphemisms relating to this directly not too long ago). That said there does seem to be an imbalance in the number of these "outrage" posts or whatever you want to call them whereby the offending parties seem to be from certain ethnic backgrounds more often then others. Perhaps this is simply because there is an imbalance in the general media I really don't know or maybe it is just a coincidence. The community here seems to do a pretty good job of policing these matters tbh and mods step in when required to.

2. Describing the woman as "badly burned" just seems like lawyer speak to me, she would have been screaming like a stuck pig if she was even moderatly burned all I heard was a bit of a gasp.

It depends on the temperature the coffee was kept at.

The McDonald's coffee lady wasn't driving and the car was stopped when she went to put sugar in the coffee. the was so hot that she ended up with 3rd degree burns within seconds.

Link to photos... first few photos are of her burns don't click unless you have a strong stomach.

Someone should have gotten the license plate number so they could put the guy in jail.

People are focusing on race when it's most likely just as much an economic class issue... person in suit probably on track to pull much more money in per year than the median wage (about $26k per year), if not already doing so, looking down on a woman because she makes much less money than him so he sees her as beneath him.

"The victim suffered second degree burns on her arm."

That should end the debate.

MotionMan

While not as serious as a 3rd degree burn a second degree burn can be painful and cause scares. This is a rather serious example of a 2nd degree burn.

I've only ever had 1st degree burns *knock on wood* and frankly that's quite enough for me.

Guy should be charged with theft and assault with intent to create bodily harm, and he should spend time in jail. What should happen is that he should have equally hot coffee poured on his face.

Assault sure, but theft? Its not like he took the coffee with him...

someone did try to stop them

Donald Eap, shop owner said, “He never listened to me. He just screamed at me.”

A second man with the suspect is also heard on tape saying, “Got a camera right there. Run that camera!”
...
We talked to an eyewitness who wished to remain anonymous, “The owner tried to block the car that the guy was in. The owner had one injured arm so that guy said, ‘You got one arm, what the hell are you going to do to me?’ It was crazy. It was senseless. He didn’t have to throw that coffee on her
