Prescots cost the same and run the same as the c processors so why not he won't be overclocking so heat is not a problem. If you were going to get a a64 comp something to keep in mind is at ddr400 you can only use two of the slots that's where the 1gig dimms would come in. Also socket 754 boards can't run dual channel no matter what nor does it really affect preformance of a64 chips (compare fx-51 with 3400+)
He doesnt know jack about computers so OVERCLOCKING is out for him (yes this sounds crazy) Everything will be stock for him and we dont want ANY problems like overheating or artfacting from overclocking. Hope he has funs with his 3.2 even though amd cost less and perform the same as an lower clock.
