this may sound like a stupid question, but when i visited the WTC you could go outside onto a roof top observation deck. would it not have been possible to get to this from the upper floors and have a helicopter pick people up?

I would assume that due to people sticking their heads and bodies out the window that they were unable to get to the stairwell... which may also be filled with smoke anyway since it acts as a chimney when the doors aren't closed where the fires were. Why weren't the doors closed you may ask? Well probably because a plane flew right through the building.

One thing the nutjobs can never explain is how could the government gets hundreds of airline workers to go along with this without murdering them afterward?

The flights were published months prior. Tickets were sold. Crews scheduled, maintenance work done, etc... there is an unimaginably large paper trail where the FAA is concerned. Not to mention the number of people who would actually touch an airplane taking off on a scheduled flight.

But somehow this was a secret government operation.
