Does your PSU have a fan above the CPU? There could be a heat vaccum, your situation sounds odd, because most people say that the Athlon 64 TOPS at about 42' C.

I have the Antec TRUE430 and the bottom fan is right above the3 HSF. I thought it's a little wierd too. I am going to try and sell some of the junk in my sig to get a nice HSF.

Mine gets 60's also under heavy load like gaming. But normally it's 33C MB temp is 30C since cool and quiet is enabled.

Cool and Quiet doesn't throttle down my fan. Using a K8V make sure you disable any smart fan kind off stuff in the bios. But your idle temps do seem a bit high though even without CQ.

I checked and none is enabled. I am using a K8V Deluxe. I had to disable C&Q like I said earlier so my temps would decrease
