Lol that is UE3 and 7 years old tech engine and in thief Nvidia is head to head even if AMD use Mantle.

But lets see BF4 once again and not BETA,

BF4 Naval Strike, in DX-11 R9 290X equals GTX780.
Also, R9 295X2 is between GTX780 SLI and GTX780Ti SLI.

Yes and ?? R9 290X equals GTX 780, if what you are saying was true GTX 780 would be faster than R9 290X.
Also, R9 280X is equal to GTX 770, did you see that or you only taking the GTX780Ti to get your point ???
 
but R9 295x2 is $1500 and gtx 780 SLi is not above $1000 so just keep in mind that and in this AMD dont even have price advantage.

Which topic would that be? How does anything you've posted have anything to do with the topic? You have done nothing but derail the thread with benchmark comparisons of games in DX11 when the topic is games that are coming and are possibly coming out using Mantle.

FWIW you can post all of the data you'd like to, it's not going to slow down Mantle adoption. The industry is moving away from DX11 and towards low level API's. You can doubt all you want. It's already happened. First with Mantle, then with Metal, and soon with DX12. Multi threading, deferred content, etc.. are nothing more than life support until DX12 comes along and they decide to pull the plug. In the meantime the future of gaming API's can be sampled now with Mantle.

Well, it seams the problem starts with your assumption that Mantle is ONLY about Multithreading. Mantle is more than Multithreading, it has to do with Driver overhead, memory allocation, debugging etc etc.
So the performance gains from Mantle are not only because of the Multithreading but because of a lot of different optimizations within the API.

Also to note, Mantle is not only about Higher Performance but also about performance sustainability.

If talking about DX11 multithreaded rendering, it has also been confirmed various times that BF3 and BF4 don't support it. Repi has confirmed that multiple times on his twitter ever since BF3 was released.


And I still don't get why anyone would expect AMD to optimize the DX11.1 path for games supporting Mantle. That'd just be a waste of resources.

that statement makes no sense as AMD still has to support hd6k hardware.
 
There's a difference between supporting and optimizing. I don't think AMD cares all too much about the latter with regards to HD 5k and HD 6k
Sorry mods for off the topic but this one the best answer why majority people chose of People chose Nvidia over AMD.

You think there's a lot of Fermi optimizing still going on? You don't have to answer because you don't know. Just like the poster you quoted doesn't know. It does make sense though that there wouldn't be much driver optimizing left to be done after this many years.

Lol u dont even know that New AMD driver dont even support HD5xxx and HD6xxx and even AMD dont support win 8 anymore.

Coming to Nvidia it still support 8xxx Gt series and that is why Nvidia has more consumer than AMD even their prices are low as can be still people will still consider Nvidia due long term support and good customer care.

You don't need to update drivers for cards that old in every single release. And 14.4, the last WHQL supports Win8 and the next WHQL will also.
