Game is pretty fun, but man do I suck compared to people that have gotten used to the game.

Once I figure out where pickups are and how to move it should be much easier.

Turning my mouse sensitivity down a ton helped a lot too.
 
Game is fun but I like more Counter Strike series. The guns they copied from their original Unreal game that is dated back in 1998
 
Can't get it to work. Guessing GPU driver issue. I launch the game, it shows the splash screen then minimizes to desktop, every single time.

You have 10 years left in the tank. I'd say it was around 41 or 42 that my eyes started to go - wearing cheap readers now just to read even my 27" 1080 panel at home. I knew it was coming when I couldn't read the Windows COA keys anymore.

Now I just camp and use cunning and stealth because its all I have left. Don't hate me !!! I do what I have to do to help my team !!! 😳

Way back in my Quake CTF days, I had to go to the optometrist because my eyes were killing me. Turns out I was not blinking when playing - in Quake CTF, you blink, you die. Funny thing was, the eye Rx was a huge Quake fan, and he knew EXACTLY what I was talking about:

Me: But Doc, I have 99 rockets and haste rune, with quad respawning RIGHT THERE .. I am NOT going to move much less blink.
Doc: Ya, I know .... I usually grab strength rune and time the quad respawn before I go in that room.

Yup, it's been slowly happening to me for the past couple of years. I'm 42 now. The first time I actually noticed it was at the tail end of Black Ops 1, I was um...quite good. I was playing with some guys I frequently played with and one of them had their 14 year old son on playing. Now I'm not trying to imply I was untouchable, but in a straight on I see you, you see me shootout, I didn't lose often. This kid, while he couldn't quite play on the level of some of us on the server overall, was consistently beating me to the punch in those confrontations. I remember telling my best bud over Ventrilo during that match "I believe our days are closing bud". I just hope I have one more really decent run in me for Black Ops 3, this will be the first time I've let my little boy (7) play against human opponents from the release date of a game, we typically play against hardened/veteran bots. I've just in the past month started not being able to handle him with bot count lopsided in his favor (that has more to do with his improvement than my decline though). He's going to really improve quickly playing against actual people (little brains are like sponges), he'll probably be kicking my tail in 4 months.
 
I was a huge fan of UT2k4. I launched the game yesterday and no CF support 🙁 Not surprised since it is a pre Alpha so I had to lower the resolution. Man do I suck now 🙂
 
Welp, upgraded CPU/mobo/ram and reinstalled windows. Was able to open the game and play it. Tried a week later and the same error I posted above came back. As soon as I open the game it minimizes to the taskbar, will not maximize for any reason at all.

Sucks
 
Anyone playing this game? Really reminds me of playing Q3 Arena long ago.

I am having a blast. Only problem is that the "Quick Match" feature puts you in servers with bots and sometimes 1 other player. Have to use the browser to find one worth playing in.

I think this is really hurting the game as it feels even more empty than it is, especially for those who dont know and are using the quickmatch feature.

Other than that, highly recommended even in this pre-alpha state. The maps that are fully textured and modeled look great.
 
Can't wait for that update myself. Looking forward to plenty of bug fixing. Not sure if this one game is worth going Win 10 though.
