Looks like it might be fun, except
- the free file download sites I checked are backed up solid today
- being Mostly Harmless I'd spend half the game sitting in jail crying "help! help!" piteously 🙁
 
This is getting to me. What directory do you put Carball.mod in to make it recognizable to the game? I can't believe there is no readme or anything in the zip.

Download the zip file. You will see a bunch of folders that are the same as those in your UT2004 folder. Put the files in the map folder in your map folder... animations in animations, ect.

Maybe I should try a different version. Or possibly I downloaded the upgrade by accident. The link said Full install 9.4mb though. Anyway, the only file that was in the zip was "CarBall.ut4mod" . The community pack had many folders in it like you describe and of course those were self explanatory.

EDIT: Yep, even the zip I have is called "CarBall_14_Full_UMod.zip" . What a misnomer.

You can download two version a umod and .zip. I have no experience with umods so I always used .zip versions of mods.

You should be able to double click CarBall.ut4mod which will start the install process.
 
CBP Vol.2 is out....is that going to be on the server also?

And on the Umods, just run the .ut4mod file and it will install it for you.

Most probably, must I can't promise anything as I don't know if I'll have enough time to install it before the game.

FileShack.com makes you register (free) but they have a fairly low wait compared to FilePlanet (under 5 min). Max 1 mbps (100K) rate though.

Wish I'd tried them earlier -- I'm downloading now but pack 2 won't finish until about 8:15-8:20 EST

Maps will download from the server, but that means missing half the round 🙁
 
I'd be there but I tried to install a huge mod this afternoon and it looks like the file was currupt which in effect currupted the who game. Maybe I will fix it shortly.
 
So mod I installed also corrupted the server installl... its might have been jailbreak so I am reinstalling it with just the patch and carball.
