For those of you who enjoyed the game last weekend and will be here on Memorial Day lets have a game tommorow. Please have the following istalled, and I might find some more mods to add to the list tommorow.

The Latest Patch
CarBall Mod
Community Bonus Pack 2 Volume 1
Offical Extra Levels

If you are home tommorow and have the game you are expected to be there. More info willl be posted tommorow as I have to go and catch a plane right now 😛

More to install:
An extra carball map
Community Bonus Pack 2 Volume 2

Make sure you got the latest version of carball installed. At least 3 versions have come out in the past week!

anyone else keep crashing to the desktop when playing Carball ? I don't know if it was that public server or what... even in version 1.4... it GPFs..

I havent had any problems but I've only tried 1.2 and 1.3. In the last game it seems like you were the only one complaining of it crashing. Do you have another computer you could try it on?

I'll come in for a few tonight.

I need to figure out a way to play with the newest patch (3204) and yet not have to keep the damn Play Disc in my CD-ROM drive all day. God. :|

What do you mean? The new patch makes it so that you don't need the CD...

Which is a big plus, though for me GPF-alarity now ensues 🙁

I had zero GPFs before the patch, now I get several a day. I gave up on carball last week after the second GPF, and last night I had a GPF playing ONS Arctic Stronghold. D'oh!

Well that was news to me, just tried it without the CD. Yay. 😛

That was my main reason for upgrading 😛

General Protection Fault, a UT2004 crash error. I'd been getting them a lot while playing CarBall 1.1-1.3. So far so good with 1.4. Haven't been playing other game types enough lately to comment on them.

That would be awsome if I don't need the DVD anymore. I will have to try it to see if that is true.

Has anyone played the Red Orchestra mod for this game? I hear it is cool but I am getting sick of downloading these mods that are the size of a CD. I remember DC getting ridiculously large after v.4.

> what is a GPF

General Protection Fault is a Windows error when a program tries to read/write memory it doesn't have any rights to. Somewhere in their code they're doing something stupid with buffers, like storing 200 items into a buffer where they've only allocated room for 100.

We should all chip in and buy them a copy of Bounds Checker. (Legendary memory access checking tool from Nu-mega)
