Likewise, it's so different communicating with people by talking to them rather than typing.

I highly recommend it :)

Unless someone's starting to pay $0.05 per tissue like they do pop cans, no. Then again, these are going to be much harder to clean up for recycling anyway. :p

I can already see the wheels of enterprise turning in Ross' head - and so begins the dawn of TissueJunky.com.

so, are you guys liking Vent better than TS? I personally think Vent has better quality, but TS is easier to use for the less experienced users. I suppose if we are only going to have the usual crew in the VOIP server, the better quality one might be better, but if you are trying to get the new-bies in there, TS might be the way to go. I personally have no preference at this time, they both work fine for me :D

I'm really torn between the two choices. In order to make an informed decision we need to have at least Nik, MrsHoneybee, ActuaryTm, David, Alex, KarenMarie and Ulfwald in the same channel.

If we choose Ventrilo I may sign up for a host which has servers in the USA (no offense DannyBoy). Preferrably a host who is reputable and offers affordable prices.

I wish Skype supported at least 10 users in conference, I'd even pay a small fee for that functionality. That would be the perfect solution.

I agree with your choice of people in the same channel. I prefer TeamSpeak over Ventrilo. It's nice hearing everybody's accent. :)

I love Skype but the one chat window is getting really long now.

You're tellin me! I can't even get caught up and I was in it just yesterday.

As for the executive decision-making, I think that at this time I prefer TeamSpeak simply because Ventrilo is somewhat cluttered and somehow stuff re-expands even after you close it. Just my two cents.

Are you deaf? I'm sure it's possible, but speach-to-text in a room full of people where not just one person is talking at once and isn't talking slowly may completely FUBAR most applications. We do have a chat in Ventrilo, but it's not used for anything more than passing links.

I'm deaf and I don't know how this thing works functionally for deaf members. Speech-to-text would be nice but I'm sick of typing too much, lol.

Jumped in last night for a few minutes. Sound quality was better than I expected.
