Unlocking the New green Tbred....HOW in the

Ok well this sucks. I got one of the new green pcb burried L3 contact tbred's its a 2100+ AXDA2100UT3C w/ a stepping of AIUHB017MPM

Well I would like to know how to unlock this peice with out using the speed-strip product. Ive searched and found very little about this processor. Any help would be great.

nein, un less im missing something that method will not work for me. My L1 and L3 are laminated over its a change to the package

selecting the "pin mod guide" you can choose "unlock multiplier" from the drop down menu and it shows the 2 pins (its only 2 pins you have to connect)

its the first one listed in the link i provided above... also make sure you select the correct cpu in the drop down box

also you can select "pcb view" and then looking at teh back of your motherboard you can easily short the 2 pins shown and it will mean any barton or tbred you install in that board will be unlocked

ok well that seems simple enough im concerned about the vcore i hope i can modifible with out me having to re wire all that nonsense.

1) NO, did you read my post? I use a 3 cleat sink and it WILL crack my core that thing is .4 mm think and it raises the PCB of the chip it doesnt sound like a lot but it is.

2) Why would I spend 15.00 for something that i can do in 2 minutes and for free thats the exact same thing?

yep. This is really gay now ive got my self confused. to figure out the multiplier i would take

multiplier x fsb

this is a 266 chip would it be X * 266 or X * 133

well this whole thread has been friggen point less then for the most part becqasue if thats so then the multiplier is 13 x 133 to equal 1.730 (1.729) how ever a fsb of 13 x 175 might not be to shabby this all asuming that the friggin voltage isnt locked either...BAH

its not that complicated... all those options for setting the fsb and setting teh multiplier are for motherboards that dont have any multiplier settings in bios

if your board has multiplier adjusment then all you need to do is unlock it by connecting 2 pins

your probably going to have to use the pin mod

I thought the pin modifications didn't work on the new packaging?

i thought it was just the bridges couldnt be painted.... ive not had any personal experience with the new packaging yet

Well my soyo kt333 ultra platinium will unlock the processor fine with out any mods. I was able to the the processor up to 2 gig with out voltage increases I went to up the voltage via the bios and did a reboot and listend to the cpu fan go from high to ultra high it was @ that point I new my processor had fried. And it did no visual markings but it wont post in any mother board now. Im not sure i understand why this happend except that only two of my L11 are cut but the. I read they should all be cut to voltage mod. Either or the processor should have realized that something wasnt rightIf this board is using pin mods hardwired into the mobo to attain these features then that is a really bad design. It could also explain why my tbird 1 G wont oc in this new board like it did in my old kt7 raid.

Any ideas?
