I've run numerous searches on how to do the unlocking procedure and have come up shorts; lots of results, but nothing concrete that is understandable and directly applicable to my case.
Here is the setup:
Athlon XP2000
asus av7266-c mobo
I tried accessing the bios to change the FSB but the option just isn't there. I imagine I might need to unlock the cpu. How would I go about doing this? The last cpu I overclocked was a tbird (connecting L1 bridges). Is it any different with the new core?
Does the a7v support the incrementation of the cpu speed, fsb, and voltages?
Thanks.
Finally found some good information on how to unlock the CPU at tomshardware. Does anyone have any advice about my mobo though??
Also, any recommendations on sites where I can buy all the supplies that toms recommends for the procedure?
