They blew it when Cooper was coaching. Tressel's not blowing anything. We'll beat Illinois next week, and we're playing that team up North in Columbus. OSU's going to win out.Originally posted by: Codewiz

VT lost again. They were always overrated just like NC State. Good to see overrated teams get beat. Miami is good when they show up to the game. They just have a problem showing up when they are playing subpar teams. Ohio State will lose before the season is over also. They always blow it. I think it will be Washington State Vs. Miami. I don't think Texas deserves the spot.
In all of your rambling you forgot to mention Ohio State, Iowa, and several other key players. Just because Miami hasn't lost doesn't mean sh!t.Miami is the best team in the country. Even if they lose a game, they are in a class by themselves. Case closed.

Ummm if you have watched football over the years, an early season loss is A LOT less harmful than a late season loss. OSU has always blown it to teams that were below their talent level. OSU will blow it. They always do. Are they are great team? Yes but they are just too good at blowing it. It is the attitude of thinking a team won't be a problem that will get you. Look at OU this weekend. OU was the better team but lost to a lower quality team. It happens to teams every year. Just because you have a better team doesn't mean you win. A good example is that FSU beat Maryland early this year but I personally think that if those two teams played again right now that Maryland would destroy them. Maryland has gotten better during the season and FSU hasn't. Just because a team beats another early in the season doesn't mean that team is better at the end of the season.
I think Washington State is playing better football than OSU right now. I think that if Miami shows up at the Fiesta Bowl, it really won't matter who they are playing. I personally thought OU was the only team that could stop Miami. OSU has a good offense but you seriously can't think it is better than Miami. I don't think any team's defense can stop Miami, the only chance is to slow them down enough for your offense to score more points.

Iowa could beat Miami and so could OU. OSU could beat Miami with some luck.

Iowa????? You have to be joking. They are a great team but have not been tested whatsoever. They haven't played a good team yet unless you count Michigan. Penn State is a good team but not all that great and they barely beat Penn State. I would agree that the Iowa State loss really doesn't hurt them simply because that is an instate rival and Iowa State isn't a gimme team. I just can't see how someone can say Iowa is better than Miami when Iowa hasn't played anyone.
OSU needs A LOT of luck to beat Miami. Who cares if OU could beat Miami now because it won't happen in the national championship.

I didn't say Iowa is better. I said they could(ability to) beat Miami if they played.![]()
In past years OSU has been an offensive football team though. This year it's the defense that's doing all the work. This year's OSU team is very unlike OSU under Cooper or Bruce, and Tressel is a very different coach than either Cooper or Bruce. Yes, OSU has a history of blowing it in recent years, but they have really turned things around this year. Purdue was the real test, and we came through. Even though OSU historically is challenged by Illinois, I think after the Purdue game Tressel will have the team ready for Illinois. I don't honestly think that we'll beat Miami, but we'll beat Michigan and Illinois. The way that OSU has played at home this year, that team up North shouldn't be much trouble. Our defence is playing better now than it has all year, and it's carrying the team. The offence should come back, though as long as the defence keeps playing as it has been, OSU's going to win out.Originally posted by: Codewiz

Something thats so different about the Big 10 than any other conference is we run a lot of running games and for the most part have great defenses
