"But I've never been in the military. And I've only shot a rifle once and my shoulder hurt for a week. I'm kind of overweight and I also have asthma. Will they still take me? I wouldn't get shot at or anything really dangerous like that, would I? Do the mercenaries need IT guys?

There is always a need for mine sweeper.

working on an oil rig. not many job openings though.

i spent 6 years in the oil fields, still in the industry. good pay, extremely hard work.

I once saw a dirty jobs type show about guys that captured bulls seamen, I forgot the job title. Apparently it can't be automated, basically a guy sits in a buggy that looks like half of an old VW Beetle another guy drags it around and has some kind of cow pheromone. Ultimately the bull mounts the buggy and the guy inside uses a rubber tube thing to please the bull and capture the DNA.

i'd so pass on that position. 😛

If you're anywhere near the movie studios, go sign up to be an extra. It pays minimum wage, but you'll get to see how the stuff behind the camera are done, and you'll see actors and actresses, etc...

Who knows, you may be "discovered". If you do, I want my 10% agent cut.

😎

You can make pretty good money doing that. A commercial shoot for a sag/aftra background worker gets $350 a day. Tv and film is a bit less. You can also get paid to be a stand in (they light you and get everything correct before the actor comes in) or shooting insert shots (hands and feet). If you have the right kind of vehicle they will also have you do drive bys during shooting.
