Nice reminder of what happened a few years ago:

The man occupying the Oval Office definitely makes a difference across the country.

I have a feeling this federal presence is just a goon squad that will be designed to violently intimidate people showing up to the polls in November.

People getting tear gassed/ shot while waiting to vote in America!

Timothy Snyder, professor of history at Yale, author of a stack of books on authoritarianism and fascim and a Holocaust expert, disagrees. he was on Maddow last night and it was an insightful interview. unfortunately MSNBC only posted the first half, which didn't include Putin and the 2020 election.

also, don't forget that Barr, and others, are just as involved in all of this as Trump is.

It seems that the politics of the protestors make a difference as well. The governor of Oregon welcomed federal intervention when it was right wing agitators doing the agitating.

The Federal Green Men pepper sprayed the “Wall of Moms”?
Really that was the best way to deal with them.

Not sure if it’s happened yet but some dude is planning a wall of veterans.

The wall of veterans is already in Portland. Interestingly enough, there are stronger voices amongst the protestors engaging the agitators and asking them to stop approaching the fed courthouse fencing. I would like to think that the vet presence is helping with that.

Not that we really needed more confirmation but it appears the primary goal of the federal attack on our cities is to generate election content.

Does anyone want to argue that the feds have made the situation better in any city they’ve gone into? They’ve just started police riots. If we had a government that cared about the wellbeing of citizens and really wanted to quell these protests they would remove the police rioters, apologize, and move to engage in a dialogue with the protesters. (They will of course be doing none of this)

Like I said a few days ago, this Trump & Stone doing their variation of Nixon's 1968 Law & Order campaign. They need footage & talking points for ads. Nixon won by 1% in 68 due in part to the police inspired riot at the Democratic Convention in Chicago and used that to his advantage in his Law & Order campaign.

To put it mildly Trump does not seem to be as successful with his plan, haha.

Wow, he really doesn’t have his finger on the pulse of the country at all beyond his 30% fascist loser supporters. These stunts are a great way to lose the suburbs even more than he already has.

Have armed protestors taken a federal building in Oregon? Oh, that's right, they haven't. Once again you are being disingenuous and dishonest.
No, you have agitators looking to vandalize a federal building. When the libertarian 2A occupiers setup camp, I did not acknowledge their actions as freedom of speech or assembly, and thought it appropriate for the federal government to intervene, although I also didn’t want it to be a Waco outcome. I feel the same towards the agitators looking to vandalize federal buildings. Thank you for your disingenuous concern.
