vote for change

Go through the process with garbage information until you get to where it asks you about whether or not you are a US citizen. Say "no" and it'll take you to where it says "Unfortunately, only US citizens are eligible to register to vote."

How could anyone let this sort of thing "slip" onto a site like that? There is no reason for that type of wording unless you really do think it's unfortunate that non-citizens can't vote in our elections...

Pathetic....

Yeah, it would be much better if they had written, "Fuck off, only US citizens are eligible to register to vote."

talk about reaching.

You ought to consider conservative talk radio as a career.

Or rather just drop the "Unfortunately" off.... but that would make too much sense. Must have been a "slip".

Or maybe they engage in something called "courtesy", where they politely inform someone they are not eligible. You've scraped to the bottom of the barrel and started drilling. (Maybe that's what they mean by "Drill, baby, drill".)

Epic FAIL Cad, even by your subterranean standards.

I'm surprised they didn't just skip the translation and keep it in Spanish.

Go through the spanish version of the registration. I don't speak/read spanish so I don't know what it would say.

 Nowhere did I suggest this was something huge, but it is still yet another example of the liberal pattern of "one world" thinking.

And no, it was not a "polite" or "courteous" phrasing. There are many other ways to be polite without saying "unfortunately". Talk about grasping at straws to play apologist...

CAD I don't mind your posts that much when you stick to a real issue and debate it, but this is really really reaching. Be honest with yourself here, this isn't even an issue, this is borderline trolling.

Again, like I stated to trollfinger - It's not something huge, but it does add to the pattern. If you don't think it does - fine.

forgive people for trying to be courteous.

"Its all about me" right CsG? courtesy and decency be damned.

It's called a soft landing. By taking out the word "unfortunately" it may feel to the non-US citizen or permanent residence (who may be getting his citizenship next month) that he's hit a brick wall. No need for that. That person may be a voter in the near future.

Ah, Cad is on BHO's website now. I must be in some alternative dimension.

RE: "Unfortunately", at least they're letting them down easy. Or it could have said "One day you may aspire to be as great as a US Citizen, but unfortunately you will retain epic fail status as an immigrant for now." ;)

Not even borderline, just trolling.

This is amazingly pathetic. Now CAD is mad at Obama's website for being insufficiently rude to non-citizens. What the hell is wrong with you man?

Your post adds the pattern I've noticed -- Republicans are increasingly stupid and xenophobic.

See what I did there?

I don't see it as trolling, but I do see it as quite a stretch.

Unfortunately, this thread is lame. Especially given the OPs long history of criticizing others for reaching when it comes to his favorite candidate.
