Underclocking Ram?

Just out of curiosity here. I have a fifty dollar credit over at my local frys. There is some generic pc3200 ram for $60 I think. If I spend a bit more, I can grab that sucker. Here's where my curiosity kicks in, I just want 166fsb instead of 200fsb. If I get the generic pc3200, underclock it to pc2700, would it be able to handle all the lowest timings in pc2700 mode? :confused:

Wait you mean the fastest timings right? Yeah that's what most people do anyway... they get PC3200 @ 3-3-3 then run it as PC2700 @ 2-2-2. Don't know about the generic ones at FRY's though... the only memory i get there is cheap PC133 for those rare times i deal with an SDRAM box... but some of those things can run 150 with no problems. :)
