So I have a little problem, my mom has not been able to receive mail on time for the past 2-3 months. Things like bills, mortgage statements, etc... are being delivered 2-3 weeks after the payment is due. The mail delivery is also sporadic, some days she doesn't get any mail, some days she gets mail after 9PM. Mind you this is in a populated area with many apartment complexes nearby and not out in the woods somewhere.
Just this week, she just received an advertisement for a Fourth of July sale at Robinson's May when July is almost over and her insurance company called to verify her address since their statements were deemed undeliverable. Luckily I was able to go online to pay the bills but I don't understand how this could've happened with the insurance company.
I talked with the local post office over the phone (and in person) several times and each time they give me different excuses (heavy route, no regular mail carrier, advertisements are sometimes delayed... etc.) and left several messages for the supervisor explaining the situation but I feel they are just ignoring me.
Is there anyone else I could talk to? Would the post master general or some official be able to help?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
