phreakyzen,
You got to to to Prince William county. For some reason gas is still a lot more in Fairfax county. I got it a week ago in Manassas for $1.01 (probably cheaper now). Yesterday I tanked up in Dale City, on Route 1 just south of the Rippon Landing exit, for $.91 at a Mobil station.

Hopefully after we're done with the mideast we can have a gasoline hose on the outside of our houses next to the sprinkler hookup!😀

Yeah it is always cheaper down there I go to Potomac Mills on occasion and I wait till I get there to get gas. A couple weeks ago it was $0.99 in Woodbridge when it was $1.31 in Annandale.

On another note I wonder if people would stop driving their 8 mile a gallon tanks to work we could maybe get out from under the finger of the Middle East?

yes, there are a few gas stations selling .74-.76 (87 octance) near Jones bridge road, State bridge road Georgia.

(Two QuikTrip and one BP to be exact)

You guys aren't buying Premium are you?

Northern VA is great but Southern VA is always cheaper. Sometimes I feel gas is expensive but then I go down to Rockville and I suddenly quit my whining, hehe.

I've seen regular for $1.11 around in Los Angeles. They put such high taxes on it here, but with prices so low elsewhere, I'm hopeful it'll at least go under a dollar.

Booo.

Gas blows. We need alternative energy sources now + better public transportation. I almost miss high prices since they made alternative energy seem more practical. After all, once the oil runs out we're SOL.

Besides, I'd love to see the looks on those OPEC scumbag's faces if we told them, "No thanks, we don't need your oil anymore. Oh by the way, our troops will no longer be defending your country, you can do it yourself."

in Anaheim, CA

Mobil

regular 1.05
super+ 1.07
premium 1.13

Im loving it.. it keeps dropping everyday... I remember not to long ago, pumping premium into my car for ~1.80

Filled up my suv at $.85/gal. Damn, I filled up my tank for <$16!!! It was +$30 when gas was at premium a couple months ago. Glad I kept the SUV!!! 🙂

ROFL!! Are those trees hugging back yet, Micah? 🙂

I paid $.939 a few days ago coming back from visiting the parents in Oklahoma City, but back here in Dallas I haven't seen anything under $.989. Honestly though, I really don't care. Oil is one of those things about which I am completely price elastic -- as are many of us.

$.96 in Concord, NC.
Why do GA have the lowest gas price in the nation? Do you guys have less gas tax or something?

1.299 in Boise, Idaho. It is a lot cheaper in Tri-cities (at least 2 weeks ago when I was there) and we get our gas from the same pipeline.

Three reasons:

1) Lowest Gas Taxes in the country.
2) Major Refineries and pipelines are in GA
3) Very competitive local gas pricing (if you knew how much we have to drive here, you would understand this more...)
