Basing its work on the official Palestinian death toll of 1,338, the IDF's Gaza Coordination and Liaison Administration said it had identified more than 1,200 of the Palestinian fatalities and that 580 had been conclusively "incriminated" as members of Hamas and other terrorist groups.

Some 300 of the dead - women, children aged 15 and younger and men over the age of 65 - had been categorized as noncombatants, the CLA said.

Counted among the women, however, were female terrorists, including at least two women who tried to blow themselves up next to forces from the Givati and Paratroopers brigades.

Also classed as noncombatants were the wives and children of Nizar Rayyan, a Hamas military commander who refused to allow his family to leave his home even after he was warned by Israel that it would be bombed.

The 320 names yet to be classified are all men. The IDF has yet to complete its identification work in these cases, but estimates that two-thirds of them were terror operatives.

already close to half of them were identified as part of hamas.

an estimate of 320 from the unidentified are suspected to be part of hamas aswell.

and like the article says, woman and children were not counted in that number.

doesn't surprise me really though, I knew numbers like this were going to show.

Yep according to Hamas every single one was innocent. So many innocent lives, Israel didn't kill one. How many martyrs did you cry for Dahunan? Did you cheer every Israel death? Keep a little death clock going?

60 years ago in Germany it was OK to kill Jews just because of who they were.

Today, in Israel and America, it is socially acceptable to kill Palestinian women and children just because who they are. There a no innocent Palestinians.

Maybe someday, the UN will decide to give the Palestinians a homeland somewhere, and people will say "never again."

Even if he did actually keep them against their will, classifying them as "combatants" requires a very loose definition of the word. Granted, it does sound better than admitting the fact that Israel dropped a one ton bomb on the building they lived in to kill Rayan along with the rest of them.

The people who got that from Iraq, also get that every time Palestine is bombed. They would get it also if France was bombed. Or San Francisco.

Not really. I feel terrible about Iraqis getting bombed and blown up, usually by the same Jihadi ideology and those that follow it that blows up Jews, Jews who I feel equally bad about. Also GWB and Clinton killed lots

But Hamas had it coming. The innocents - to which is hard to determine are a tragedy as well.

Basically sucks all around.

While the number of innocent deaths still makes me sad, I really still can't fault Israel for doing everything within their power to stop the terror. So here we are...

Read up on the Jewish resistance during WW II then, they targetted not only the German soldiers but anyone suspected of collaborating with the Germans as well. Basically they fought back. Just like the Palestinians fight back now. But since saying bad things about Jews is a taboo ever since WW II a lot of those Jews in Israel who came from Russia and are as racist and violent as the Nazis were can go about their bussiness of targetting innocents and stealing their property without anyone being able to condemn it without being called anti-semitic.

You have no clue do you? I hardly believe that israel goes out of its way to kill women and children. What do you expect Israel to do? Not go after the enemy because they hide amongst women and children? There is noway to do a surgical strike to avaiod civilian casualties!
