i guess it's not an issue since there's none available in stores around me...

ha haha........ that's exactly what I said to my wife!!!!!

yea thats what i told my future wife...also you need to modify your OP. Because after the coupon it would be one 159.99 + tax

I paid 149.99 out the door because my friend works there.

My local CC had a printout of the coupon at all the desks, saying that it was invalid. I still tried, but no joy.

Ive got a few miles in on my Mio now.

Observations:

It does not have a clue how to get me round parts of DC... issues with making turns where no turns are allowed.

When driving to Manassas on I-66 it always tells me to take the first (incorrect) exit which is north when my destination is South

When driving from Dulles airport to Manassas it always wants me to exit the highway at Centerville...no idea why - drive on by and it recalculates to the incorrect first exit above.

Now down here in Florida (Sarasota) it does not know where I am but advises me to turn around een although I'm going the correct direction! where I live does not exist according to both Mio and Google Earth - although I can see the house as clear as day on Google Earth 😉

The estimated distances to the next turn etc are so far out it might as well not tell me - and thats with an accuracy of 1 or 1.2 (is that feet, yds, or metres?) it might as well be miles to be honest!

When it tells me that I should take the next right in 300yds it is actually more likely to be 300 feet. Perhaps I'll change to Metric and see if it is a glitch - the position on the map appears to be fairly accurate so I've no idea why it gets the distances so far out.

If I used this unit to measure my appendage I'd be a porn star god! 😉

I'd do the patch but I've still got a few episodes of Little Britain to watch yet 🙂

Not sure if applying the patch with reverse my hack or not?

Do you also find the distances to be way out?

Just called my local CC store and they have them in stock for $199 AND will take the coupon for $40 off.

I bought 2 of these at Christmas and padi $200 and had to search the country over to get them.

Both families loved them and now getting this one for the directionally challenged wife.

Just FYI, Fry's has the Mio for $189 with free shipping (Link). I pricematched to Staples, used a $30 off coupon, and got it for $166 shipping including tax.

Has anyone else noticed that the clock on the MIO still will not switch over to DST?

I even reset mine and it went back to an hour earlier.

Is it an issue with the GPS satellites not set or the MIO (I have to assume its the MIO...)???
