I only bought the one from Fry's with the $65 rebate. I wonder how bad I will have to fight for my missing $5.00

When I click the link to check on the status, the amount also shows $65. Did you click on that link to see the details of your rebate, or does it just say $60 in the email?

When I click on the link it says $60 and has a different promo number (HU513370) than the one on the form I sent in (HY13376). I don't get how they make that sort of mistake....especially since the $65 one is specifically for Frys.com and that where I bought it from.

Congrats to those who got in this deal. I missed out again...

If any of you bought two or aren't using the one you got, let me know and I'll make you an offer you can't refuse! Well, maybe you could...

That's odd, does it say it's through Fry's at least?

I am a bit leary with Ultra power supplies these days. I've ordered 4 (500 watt with 34a 12V rail) over the last ~2 years with 1 DOA and another dying ~17 months on the job (not running 24/7 or even close to it). I've had no damage to any other components, but 2 out of 4 units having issues is a pretty high ratio IMO.

Ultra has been good about the warranties though so that's a plus.

Budarow

Budarow, I'm sure there's exceptions to this rule, but I've always read that the heavier the power supply is, the better the quality. The FAR Ultra PSU is the heaviest PSU I've ever handled and I've picked up quite a few.

Secondly, PSU purchases are an especially risky endeavor these days, regardless of brand. They're all garbage. Even trusted brands like Antec aren't all that trustworthy anymore.

as an update:

sent in rebate form on June 1 2007 ... recieved rebate check in the mail July 2nd 2007.

4 weeks door to door is pretty darn good. thumbs up to this rebate.
