I don't know about that. *cough* Led Zep 4 *cough*

Road House Blues is one of the best driving songs ever.

Masked and Anonymous is a great, weird, abstract movie, worth renting just for Dylan.

The Doors and Morrison were good, but Dylan has just written more and better music, much of it timeless.

Apples to oranges, plus Morrisson's death prevents us from really knowing what he was capable of.

In my opinion he was a great lead singer but a mediocre poet, although he would have liked it to be the other way around.

Agreed. I like both, but they are very different and really hard to choose as to which is better. Dylan's a great poet with a unique musical style. Morrison was a dark character, way out there, and also a unique musical style. Both were/are certainly pioneers and innovators.

I like both artists. I like the music of the Doors a little bit better because of the better musicians and Jim sings a heck of a lot better than Dylan.

However, the OP asked about the songwriting. In that case, Dylan is infinitely better. You may not like his renditions of songs, but his songwriting influenced rock like very few have.

Morrison was a moron. If he were around this generation he would just be some crappy goth 'net poet. He sucked and The Doors were the one of the worst bands ever.

Dylan can't sing but at least he can write.
