<<Am I the only one not disgusted by the fact that they nuked the snake, but rather the big deal that is going on over this?! A SNAKE PEOPLE!!! A FREAKING, SLIMY, SNAKE! Not a dog, or even a damn cat! Get OVER it! No, I'm not being unsensitive, or irrational. It is a snake. Period. >>

You don't know much about snakes do you? Learn about them before you go judging them.

Also, the snake was a pet and a living thing. The fact that anyone could do such a horrible thing to any living creature, whether it be a cricket, snake, or cat, it simply disgusting.

I'm not so sure all of this animal cruelty is new- I think it's just that the media is scrambling to find stories about kids being extremely violent because then they have a hit story that they try to link with school shootings and whatnot.

<< Parents called an immediate meeting with the city's police chief and launched a fundraiser to buy a $15,000 surveillance and alarm system for the campus. >>

FOR A SNAKE'S DEATH?!

johneetrash, read the article next time......

"In all, 10 classrooms at the campus, located at the edge of the Mission San Jose foothills and set among upscale homes, were vandalized."

People, people! I cannot believe that you are judging these kids so harshly! For all we know, they could be poor people, without food and were desperately hungry.

Snake does taste like chicken.

heh, it's just too bad they left their meal behind. I don't like people who waste food - after all, there's millions of people starving in third-world countries that'd kill for a hearty snake meal.

<< Dude, you're an idiot, for one, snakes aren't slimy, >>

Oh? Really? WANNA FREAKIN' BET? Besides, it had nothing really to do with my argument...whether the snake was slimy or dry as a bone, it was still a damn snake.

<< second, corn snakes dont bite, >>

So? I didn't say it did bite. Heh, considering you didn't get the sarcasm and fun-poking in that paragraph, I am not going to get into a fight over THAT.

<< third, fremont is in the SF bay area, and I hope you dont live that clsoe to me. >>

If you look at my other post, I clearly stated that the "Fremont" by me is actually the name of the library, and the is no "fremont" where I live, WHICH I SAID is ILLINOIS.

<< Also, your assumption that snakes arent "O.K." makes you look even more like an idiot? >>

See my other reply...and No, it doesn't "make me look even more like an idiot[?]".:|

<< Have you ever even seen a snake? >>

No. The only thing that ever came close to being a snake is this green straw I found in the grass one hot summer day. </end terrible sarcasm>

Who the hell do you know who has not seen a fscking snake???

<< I vet you're the type of person that kills garden snakes cause you think you heard them rattle. >>

Yeah, but I microwave them.

<< before you open your moiuth maybe you should engage your brain. >>

Because I don't think a snake being nuked is a huge deal that should make grown adults have to hold back tears? Get real.

BTW, what is this "engage your brain" business? Where is the switch? Maybe if you KISS MY ASS it will work, eh? :|

As was pointed out, these kids weren't exactly hungry. ;)

Aren't kids like this tomorrow's murders? Doesn't the profile go something along the lines of torture animals as kids, then move onto people as adults?

<< You don't know much about snakes do you? >>

I know enough to know that a snake should not be treated like a human being, and while it may hae saddened the kids who liked the snake, that doesn't mean the kids who did it should be condemed by you people because the snuffed out a SNAKE!

<< Learn about them before you go judging them. >>

Well, I'm not going to list everything I know about snakes, or even go out and read up on them before I make a statement like I did. Does one have to know all about a snake before he says he thinks someone needs to get over it?

<< Also, the snake was a pet and a living thing. The fact that anyone could do such a horrible thing to any living creature, whether it be a cricket, snake, or cat, it simply disgusting. >>

The thing died. That's all. It probably felt some heat, then just, well, blew up. Would you step on a cricket or something if you found it in your house? It would be of your own free will, it would die, and maybe not even right away. It would see you coming, your foot coming at it, and then kind of be smooshed into the floor. Do you REALLY, HONESTLY think that would be CRUEL?

COMMON!

This is the kind of stuff those crazy animal-rights activist say! It is CRUEL, and EVIL to kill a BUG or something?! Jesus Christ!

Azraele,

When I was a kid, we didn't have a microwave, so I had to build a fire to fry their crawly asses. Sometimes, I even ate them.

Yeah, if a kid kills a snake, they'll certainly grow up to be a murderer. Geez.
