That's pretty sad, I live in fremont myself, and I overheard my brother talking about someone's snake dieing. Didn't even realize that it was roasted in a microwave by a bunch of teens. That's just sick, poor wiggles

I really worry about people sometimes. I am eighteen years old and have never even thought of torturing animals. What is so different now that people feel they have to do this.

Sadly though has anyone noticed that it is usually boys that do this?(Or is that why you have been bringing those articles to our attenetion Azraele)

You got a point, maybe if there wasn't the media, then these things wouldnt happen, because may just want to gain attention or something, just like c*lumbine, they got alot of attention, and from what i've heard, thats what they wanted (besides revenege), and they hoped for movie producers to recreate a movie about their inncident.

But still, that's just cruel what they did to wiggles.

Ah... I feel really bad for Wiggles and the children. It was all because 2 boys were just bored... At least Wiggles is not at peace and the hopefully the kids can remember the good times with the snake and move on.

Am I the only one not disgusted by the fact that they nuked the snake, but rather the big deal that is going on over this?! A SNAKE PEOPLE!!! A FREAKING, SLIMY, SNAKE! Not a dog, or even a damn cat! Get OVER it! No, I'm not being unsensitive, or irrational. It is a snake. Period.

Besides, what if those kids got to love the snake so much, that whenever they saw a snake they went up to it to &quot;pet it&quot;? WHat if they got killed from a snake-bite? THen the parents would blame the school for making it seem snakes are O.K.

For a lot of kids, these classroom animals are their first experience with pets - just from what I've noticed, being a homeroom volunteer and a mom, these kids are incredibly attached to their classroom pets and when they die, it may also be their first experience with death. It's pretty sad that not only did their pet die (which is hard enough), but it was killed in such a nasty way by other kids.

Yeah, it's just a snake. But the big deal is the fact that 2 kids would be willing to microwave an animal period. That's messed up. I'm glad I'm not one of their parents.

Dude, you're an idiot, for one, snakes aren't slimy, second, corn snakes dont bite, third, fremont is in the SF bay area, and I hope you dont live that clsoe to me. That's so sad... Poor Wiggles. I feel bad for all those kids. =( Corn snakes are such friendly snakes. My cousin had one, but gave it away. I remember how I'd always take him out of the tank and just play with him.
