<< It's a sad, sad time when honesty is ridiculed. But, if that makes you feel better.. >>

You're honest, want another cookie? I take honesty for granted. I pirate, send me to hell.

We have been over this before, in numerous threads, and my stance stay the same. I don't feel bad for pirating software. Never have, never will.
Mabey you just say that line to make YOU feel better. You wear the fact that you buy all your software, like a badge, a medal of honor. Well buff it up you knight in shining armor and go into battle.

<< Next time you have to activate a MS product, guess who you have to thank?

Go ahead and make fun of me, but it's not me who is making life miserable.
>>

Who's life is miserable? I'm rather happy, and I have the software I need. And I don't bitch about software activation or prices either.

And I work a job everyday, and for a software company to boot. Everything is legal there, 100% bought and paid for, so it should be for a company or business use.

So spare me your high horse accusations and looking down on me from up high. I'm younger and better then you in this game, just get over it.
>>

What game?

If you're not paying for your software, you're a thief. Nothing more, nothing less. And all the chest pounding and excuse making in the world wont change that.

<< So spare me your high horse accusations and looking down on me from up high. I'm younger and better then you in this game, just get over it. >>

You aren't better at sh!t dumb ass, you just have delusions that you are. You and your little warez buttbuddies think you are so coy and that nobody pays attention. Maybe it's because you are so insignificant that you aren't worth the time and effort it would take to couple you up with Ugly Bubba in the State Pen.

<< You aren't better at sh!t dumb ass, you just have delusions that you are. You and your little warez buttbuddies think you are so coy and that nobody pays attention. Old man, save it for someone who cares. I'm not in any groups, nor do I affiliate with any of them. Thoes days are long past. I have learned better. But people that wear it like a badge, are just as lame as poeple proclaiming their coolness for stealing software.
Insignificant is right. If I wanted to be high profile, I would smuggle cocaine from columbia.
The "good ole days" are gone, get over it.

<< If you're not paying for your software, you're a thief. Nothing more, nothing less. And all the chest pounding and excuse making in the world wont change that. >>

I'm not trying to make excuses or say that pirating is good or cool. I'm saying that no matter which way you or I get our software, when put in front of it, I am superior. Being legal does not make you better.

<< Only thing dumber than crime is taking part in crime that doesn't pay. these warez groups are sad. >>

I agree with that. But then again, go to Taiwan, and see if they make any cash off of it. Or you could consider that not paying the money for the software, could be considered a profit?

And a "crime" committed by the US govt. for the benefit of the American people, just does not pay right?

<< Old man, save it for someone who cares >>

You know whats pathetic, the fact that this "Old Man " is better than you in every fscking way. That's not to say that I'm that good, it's more like you are just that worthless LOL🙂

<< If I wanted to be high profile, I would smuggle cocaine from columbia. >>

And just who would you sell it too? Nobody does that sh!t anymore, it's all Methamphetimine. You really are an ignorant Mofo.

<< You know whats pathetic, the fact that this "Old Man " is better than you in every fscking way. >>

Highly unlikely. Most men over 55 can't get it up. And most can't program C for crap.
And if you're better now. That just means you had more practice. Which inturn tells me that my potential is much higher then your's has, or could have ever reached. So if you want to stick around until I'm that old, I'll embarrass you then.

<< And just who would you sell it too? Nobody does that sh!t anymore, it's all Methamphetimine. >>

Yea, sales dropped off a bit. I'm slowing migrating that direction, gotta get my clientele hooked on it first before I make the switch. This is going to be harder then a NT to 2k migration.

Oh yea, It's "Methamphetamine".

<< cool. this still aint stopping warez though. nothing will/. thats right, i said nothing >>

long live free software 🙂

<< Highly unlikely. Most men over 55 can't get it up. And most can't program C for crap >>

I don't know about not getting it up at 55 since I'm only 47 so I'm guessing that's a trait in your own family. As for older men not being able to code, I wouldn't know personally because I['m not a coder. I'll have to take your word on it. Excuse me if I don't lose any sleep over that little tidbit as I never thought that being a coder had anything to do with manliness, just geekyness.

<< Ain't 55 yet ( not even 48) little wanker, that must be men in your family tree, and I could really give a fsck about some dweeb Coder who spends most of his time debugging someone elses work while the rest of the world gets laid. >>

Who says I'm a coder? I'm positive I get more play then you. In fact, I would bet my left nut over it. 🙂

And why do you have to defend yourself so strongly? If you don't "give a fsck", then why waste so much time giving a fsck?
Most creatures only do that when they are backed into a corner. Or when there are points they cannot come up with a retort to.

<< In fact, I would bet my left nut over it. >>

Well you can keep your left nut as I alreadfy have one that works just fine

Anyway SammySon, you are right about one thing, I really haven't a need to defend myself! BTW.. no offense taken Bud, just don't be so sure that less time being alive makes one better. The only thing that's assured is that less time alive means less personal experience.

Riiiiight.

Hint: Sorry to say this, but the very fact that you feel the need to claim superiority, shows that you're not. All it shows is that you suffer from little man syndrome.

BTW, please show where in this thread that I ever claimed I was a better man than anyone?

The really sad thing is all you've done here is show that you have a flaming case of penis envy.

Kiddies,

How can you enjoy wasting your time arguing like KindeeGarden's, when you are not going to convince eachother otherwise?

I do not promote or approve of Warez, I do not promote crime, and I do not think any of you will convince eachother wrong.

What you all do not seem to realize, is the money not spent on 1000's of $$'s worth software, is SPENT somewhere else, which goes into the ECONOMY, which keeps others in work, which equates to taxes, which puts the cops on the street, which puts research in Cancer, etc., etc., etc.

Students need to focus on their education, not two part time jobs to pay for all their software to be legit. Yes, there are Academic discounts, but not always and not for everything. If Joe student focuses on school and gets an excellent job and great pay, GUESS WHERE MOST OF HIS INCOME GOES TO??? Taxes, groceries, vehicle, public transit, etc., etc. WHICH puts food on YOUR table, shoes on YOUR feet, your kids diapers, etc.!

What if Joe Public runs a business and needs to setup a Win2k Server with SQL? Should he go bankrupt and become unemployed and collect your tax dollars through welfare? Is that better for you? Does that make more sense?

Software companies are doing just fine. Many would not exist or still be in business if warez did not exist.

If there is one part that I totally DO NOT agree with, that would be selling warez for profit... that is crime at its pureist! The rest is up for you to debate.

Stop being so narrowed minded!

<< Anyway SammySon, you are right about one thing, I really haven't a need to defend myself! BTW.. no offense taken Bud, just don't be so sure that less time being alive makes one better. The only thing that's assured is that less time alive means less personal experience. >>

Agreed, that was my point in the first place. Being alive longer gives you more experience, but it also closes your mind and makes you set in your ways. And nothing was intended as an insult, though you took a fair shot at me. But then again, I already graduated once, I left that behind before I started.

<< BTW, please show where in this thread that I ever claimed I was a better man than anyone?

The really sad thing here is that all you've done is show that you have a flaming case of penis envy.
>>

You didnt directly claim it. You did it by bragging that all of your software was legal. Like its some kind of accomplishment.
By bringing up the point that everything you own is legal, that shows you have something to prove, you mentioned it to be better then people that pirate.
If you had nothing to prove, you would have said nothing.

<< Hint: Sorry to say this, but the very fact that you feel the need to claim superiority, shows that you're not. All it shows is that you suffer from little man syndrome. >>

This just proves that you never took any sort of psychology or sociology classes in your student years.
Your need to respond and point that out, also proves the same point you're trying to make, ie. "little man syndrome"
I could go on, but then you might have to pick up a few psychology books to catch up.

<< Stop being so narrowed minded! >>

Once you get past 30, your mind is a one way street.

"Once you get past 30, your mind is a one way street."

I disagree totally with that statement, I just turned 45 and can produce a slew of folks that'll be glad to tell you just how flexible, open minded and laid back on most things I am.

we want to talk rigid, inflexible thinking ? visit any local high school

<< Once you get past 30, your mind is a one way street. >>

Sammyson, why don't you wait until you are thirty yourself before you claim that. At least you will be speaking from first hand knowledge🙂

Personally, if given a good reason, I will always give an opposing argument it's due consideration and more often than not find my veiwpoint swayed by it. It's those who start an argument with "Old Man" that I usually dismiss as not being worthy of any consideration what so ever. Sometimes I am wrong though and I hope in this case I am wrong about you.

I simply responded to the claim that I pirated software, Sammy. I had nothing to prove, I simply stated a fact in the face of a false accusation aimed at justifying someone's lack of ethics. If you think honesty is an "achievement," or something to show off, your parents did a piss poor job of teaching you morality and ethics.

As for the rest of your post...
rolleye.gif
Keep thumping that chest... Maybe one day you'll actually believe the BS you spew and feel good about yourself.

As in regards to the title..

Well, stealing does have it's risks. And yes, warez is stealing. I'm not condemning it, though. I don't go to college where I can get things at a low price, I'm dead broke, and if I can get it for free, I will. I seriously think that even if everyone did buy software, the prices wouldn't fluctuate very much, if at all. If software companies were selling more software at the same price, why lower it?

As for the morality of it.. if you pirate and don't think it's immoral you're pretty stupid. Buying software is moral, yes, but IMHO, software companies are doing alright in spite of the piraters and Bill Gates isn't gonna miss the $200 I took from him.

<< I'm not trying to make excuses or say that pirating is good or cool. I'm saying that no matter which way you or I get our software, when put in front of it, I am superior. Being legal does not make you better. >>

...and that means about as much as "My daddy can beat up yours!" I never knew there was a "superior" way to obtain software. According to your logic, being legal doesn't make someone "better" but being illegal does. It's a matter of personal preference. Now, lets say some people could get access to the software for free and some couldn't. The person who could get to it for free could in fact say that their method is "superior" to the one who has no access to it. Since all is fair in love and high speed connections, AmusedOne does, in fact, have the ability to pirate software, but he chooses not to. He's just exercising his morals while us that pirate are not. And there's nothing wrong with that at all.. I'm gonna sound like a hypocrite saying this, but maybe more of us need to use those morals more often.

Oh, and speaking of being a hypocrite...

<< Highly unlikely. Most men over 55 can't get it up. And most can't program C for crap.

And then...

Most creatures only do that when they are backed into a corner. Or when there are points they cannot come up with a retort to.

Not to ignite flames or anything, but using personal insults to defend yourself, and then comment on people being overly defensive is kinda hypocritical...and has nothing to do with the topic of the post.

Ok, I'm done. Didn't mean to P.O. anyone if I did, it's just a message board anyways 🙂 😛

/me Laughs at all the people here that condemn warez users, yet have gigs of mp3s. Hypocracy at its finest.

"Old man Syndrome"

<< "Once you get past 30, your mind is a one way street." >>

This was intended as a joke. Comon' does the sense of humor go with old age too?
Or, just the ability to detect sarcasm?

<< If you think honesty is an "achievement," or something to show off, your parents did a piss poor job of teaching you morality and ethics. >>

No, but you seem to think it is an achievement, or else you would not show it off.

<< Sometimes I am wrong though and I hope in this case I am wrong about you. >>

I used "old man" for effect. It's a catch phrase, something to arouse your emotions.
The same goes for an elders arguement when they open it with, "son", or "kid", or any other word used to describe youth. Things do go both ways, which you have probably learned in your years of life.

And one thing I have learned. The older someone gets, the harder they try to best the younger generation.
Being old and wise does not exculde you from your basic human drive to be better.
It probably makes it more intense, because you have the years of experience to guide you along. And you can fianlly say to yourself, " I can win this one finally".

Youth != ignorance. And I pity the people who think that. When it comes down to it, most "advise" given by elders is just to say "stay in your place little man", "you can't be as good as me yet."

Nothing more then the male dominance role in the animal kingdom.

Red Dawn,

I would have expected much more from an "Elite Member" and someone of your age. Maybe it should be "L33T Member".

Nice pic, you're very mature, posting pictures of retarted people. Do you have any morals at all?

Since you had to resort to a sort of attack, it seems like you're showing guilt, or aren't man enough to post a response.
