30 Degrees today in Essex, too hot, everyone's gone to the beach so it's too busy.

Does anyone else hate the feeling of sun on their skin?
 
I never really understood Celsius as much as the metric system.

I can understand using a standard measuring system but why then use a system of temperature that can vary so much compared to other systems, even fahrenheit.

For instance one degree of celsius is often multiple degrees in fahrenheit.

Granted Kelvin is used mostly for science but fahrenheit is more accurate for many things then celsius.
 
At least it's nice today and yesterday.

The past two weeks here have been rainy and summer was being a wuss and hiding.

What other systems?
There's Fahrenheit, and then its absolute-zero cousin, Rankine. Both use the same degrees, they just have different zero-points.
Then there's Kelvin, which also uses the same degrees as Celsius, just with a different zero-point.

Uh.....no, not really.
You might as well say that gallons are more accurate than ounces, or that inches are more accurate than feet. Neither makes any sense.
0 = freezing of water
100 = boiling of water
Seems pretty reasonable.

I hate the hot weather. I don't really care for anything of ~80F. I'll also take cloudy weather over sunny.

It's supposed to be mid 70's and sunny today. I'll probably stay inside, clean the house, and watch baseball. Tonight when it's in the lower 60's and clear, I'll be out driving around with the top down.
