It's gorgeous here again today. 84F for the high...although...the humidity is up...33%. That's pretty high for us. MOST of the time in the summer, we're in the 15% to low 20% range.
Still, the "feels like" temp is 82...so that's not bad at all for July in the valley. Our AVERAGE daily high temp is something like 96.

It was as hot, you just didn't know any better.

I can imagine being in the courthouse downtown, wearing a wool suit all day. Must have been killer, but then again, folks didn't know any better.

I've asked my grandmother about it, and she said it was just as hot 75 years ago, was used to it back then.
 
Nasty, if it was that hot here I'd be in my office all day with the 12,000 BTU AC blowing directly on me. It's a 90square foot office. There is no such thing as oversized when it's that hot out. 😛
