God, I hope this main event isn't like the snooze-fests that the last several main events were. I'm predicting a win by Dos Santos.

Mir has little chance in this one. I think the only way he wins is if he does some crazy surprise punch and sub like he did to kongo. I'm pretty sure JDS won't make the same mistake as Nog and hit'em and get subbed.

The rest of the card is asom too. The only thing that'd make it better were if allistair and hunt were still on the card (was really looking forward to struve vs hunt)

If Mir is smart he will try to get him to the ground early and doesnt stand there like a side of beef.

If there is one thing I have learned from watching MMA since it started it is you should never count Mir out. That dude is smart and a very good athlete so he is capable of beating anyone on any given night....except for Overoid of course, nobody can beat him now that he's turned into a chemical growth experiment.

Mir is going to sleep pretty fast here. He's not known for good take downs and JDS had shown ungodly TD defense. JDS is scary fast, precise and powerful striker. Short of JDS just giving Mir a sub, there's no way for him to win.

I'll be shocked if this goes past 3min of the first round.

Frank does alright till his back is against the cage. He gets handled just about every time that happens. JDS is known for eating some shots, and Frank can bang. So, he will have some opportunities. I think Jr will uppercut or overhand him, then pound him out though.

you must mean PPVs. The Korean Zombie main card the other night was epic.

Also,

Cain should handle bigfoot.

Big Country and Outlaw need wins bad.

Big Johnson is on a tear. But, I would not be surprised to see sky scraper jump guard or even a flying triangle. He needs to get it to the ground IMO. Because his chin is suspect, and Johnson is a good finisher.

WTF happened to Mark Hunt? He's not even on the card anymore.

Oh, and Dos Santos will take this one, easy. Mir almost got knockout by Nogueira for Christ's sake. If for some reason Mir is able to take Dos Santos to the ground, then the odds are HEAVILY in Mir's favor. But chances of that happening are VERY slim since Dos Santos has pretty good ground defense.

I would have MUCH rather seen Mark Hunt vs Dos Santos. And even though Dos Santos strength is his stand up, I HIGHLY doubt he would have traded with Hunt. If he DID though, it would have been an AWESOME fight.

What concerns me is that in the majority of the recent UFC main events where people have expected a quick ending to a fight, the fight turned into a snooze fest that went all the way to the Judges score cards.

Except JDS has yet to be in a boring fight.

I don't think Big Nog was ever submitted, and Mir did it fairly quickly once they got on the ground. You can't underestimate Mir.

I'd love to see Mir get his ass kicked. Was hoping for Brock to do it again before he quit UFC.

Typically, if you lose 3 fights in a row, Dana lets you go. Big Country needs a win on Saturday or he's pretty much done in the UFC.

BUT Big country's has put on some great fucking fights. But yeah he needs a win.

though damn the guy has faced tough fights time and time again.

He certainly has a good chin for taking punches. But he hasn't squarely landed that overhand right of his in quite some time.

No, Mir is great on the ground, however the only reason he was on the ground with Nogueira was because Nog dropped him and then proceeded to try to finish him on the ground. Stupid move by Nogueria. If he just kept it standing, he most likely would have knockout Mir out.

But like I said, by some CRAZY chance Mir does get Dos Santos to the ground, the tides turn and the advantage goes to Mir by a BIG margin. If the fight is kept standing, I doubt Mir will make it past round one.
