I hope that fight answers all of the questions about Jones. He took some good punches but still was always in control.

that was amazing. His core strength in that awkwark position using his forearm strength to turn it up. Crazy strong.

Wow

Damn, that was kind of anticlimactic. I was kind of thinking Lyoto had a chance there after the first round. So this is going to be like another year of senseless fights before we see him get a challenge (ie, Silva?)

Wow

He essentially use Machida's bodyweight to put pressure on the neck. Didn't take long for Machida to go lights out.

SHIT. Interesting to actually see Jones tested for all of one round though. Damn now I have to listen and see him in the spotlight still. I had Machida as being the best one to beat him out of him, Rampage, Rashad, Henderson, and Shogun. Phil Davis is good but still a bit early to beat Jones (if he ever could).

He still has Davis, Franklin, Dan Henderson and even Rashad (assuming he doesn't keep copping out). Talk is he could fight 3 or 4 times next year, then move up to the Heavyweight division. Jon looks much bigger than he did two years ago, though his legs are still freaky skinny.

Fvcking Machida...suddenly thought he could exchange blows with Jones while against the cage. He really got tagged with a left before Jones ended it. Up until then, it was an epic display of how to fight Jones standing up.

Yeah, when are you gonna start naming guys who can give him a run, lol? Maybe Rashad just because he knows him, or Henderson just for the experience factor.... But I don't see this coming to an end too soon....

He does have a good build for a heavyweight though. Word is he walks around at 225, So he could fight at 230.....

I know, I know  I'm just listing the guys that are rumored up next for him. I think Davis could give him a good fight.

I believe ultimately he will move up to HW, but how the heck is he going to handle sizes like Overreem and Brock?

I hope he stays put and runs a streak. If he moves up he wont be able to manhandle guys like that and will take a pounding and have a shorter career.

lol i forgot it was on tonight and missed it.

but sounds like ti was a good PPV

Jones is going to end up moving up. he is far to skinny and will end up putting on the muscle. not sure he will be as dominate though.

He has been wrestling since he was a kid, he can cut to 205lbs as long as he desires.

The fight went the way I expected. Best chances to dethrone him, will be a shot that puts Bones in deep trouble, and/or putting him on his back and keeping him there.

Mir is a bad match up for a lot HWs. But seems to fold against guys bigger and stronger than he is. He has terrible take downs too, so Overeem, Brock, Carwin, will continue to be tough match ups for him. I would be stoked to see him versus Barnett. 2 of the best submission specialists going head to head = epicness.

Korean Super Zombie? D:

perhaps he can. i just see him gaining more muscle and having to move up.

Though i would love to see Anderson Silvia and him go at it. Sivlia been talking about moving up a class for a while.

I agree that the best shot against him will be someone that can hit him hard. I would love to see dan go at him. though i think dan loses but he has a good chance if he lands one. We really haven't seen JJ chin yet.

Mir is now a gatekeeper. Far to many big strong guys who can hang with him on the ground. His last fight with brock showed that a wrestler can get him in a bad position and GNP him. Mir vs Bennet would be a blast but i think mir takes it with ease.

JOnes is a dick. amazing talent but a dick. This ain't the first bullshit thing he has done.

Yeah Jones is a bad dude but you have to question an indivdual who let's a guy who he knows is limp just drop then not even check if he's ok(until told to).

I agree a Silva v Jones match up would be sick, seems like Silva is the only man capable of beating Jones at 205. I wonder what the odds would be if that fight happened.

Not really. It's a violent sport and adrenalin is sky high at the time. Think about it. Guys been punching you in the face and shit probably hurt like hell. You're probably raging and want to inflict much pain as possible to the opponent. If they fall face first and lose a tooth... Oh well.

Hell people were cheering when Dan Henderson did a flying punch to a defenseless KO'd Bisping.

Bisping is cocky

Jones letting Machida fall is a pretty dick move, but it was Machida's decision not to tap that led him to being placed in that position

only good competitive matchup for Jones is Anderson. people will watch Henderson vs Jones though, but Jones will outmatch Henderson.

Yeah I can see that angle too. I think most fighters would have checked on Machida after the fight just for sheer respect and concern though.

The Jones submission reminds me of the video of Hulk Hogan choking out Richard Belzer haha... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7n_SHrK408

What do you guys think about Jon Jones letting Machida fall after knowing he was out?

For those of you who haven't seen it here's a video of Jones trainer, Greg Jackson, telling him to check on Machida to gain some fans... http://www.twitvid.com/CC7Q9

He was told to let go, he did.

The coach did what any good coach would do - keep your fighter's head in the right direction.

Jones is far from being a dick. Bisping is a dick. Jones is nothing like him.

LoL did you guys see Mir's post fight interview and the way he looked at nog while he was still on the ground? IMO that was more of a slap in the face.

Nog made Mir break it. Nog felt things going bad and refused to tap. Mir wanted to tell rogan this but figured its unspoken.

Gracie did this a few times. Didnt work for nog
