does shogun even work out? he looks like a blob of shit

sure. if you look at nearly every other fighter they all get a little fat on them.

but then again im willing to bet you have more fat on your arms then shogun does all over.

Jones dominates all rounds, and ends 2 minutes left in the 3rd round via strikes (most likely elbows).

See woosta. This is how you pick a side and try not to straddle both sides to make yourself look good.

Hmm, at the end as Shogun went down from punches and a knee, it looks like he was tapping the mat as Herb Dean stopped it. Not sure if that's the case. If so, he must have been destroyed cause he ain't the kind of guy to tap.

Probably very hurt and had lost his confidence back in the 1st round. :(

edit: They replayed the Koch KO for the second time, and I still can't really see the hit. The guy went down bad but I don't even see the hit. I guess it was on the chin. The hit that put CroCop down was grazing towards the back of the head, but you could at least see it.

Yeah. Mostly luck but I try to be objective. Love jones, feel bad for shogun because he's very talented. Jones is a genetic freak and his physique alone will give people problems.

well yeah i think anyone who thought JJ was going to win knew it would be fast and with elbows. the kid throws some deadly elbows.

I do wonder how well he will do when he fights someone that can take him in the 4-5th round. the first 2 he spends a lot of energy and so far its worked.

Damn it, I really can't stand JJ after seeing and listening to him during this week. Pride guys are done, I really font see any past Pride champs holding a UFC belt again.

He looked gassed 1/2 through round 1, he was taking a beating, Jones is a beast...

His younger brother who plays football at Syracuse is the same - 6'6" 250lbs. and only 20 years old. Reminds me of Julius Peppers.

Wow that was a close fight! Oh wait, no it wasn't.

Bye Woosta. See you in....however long your hiatus was scheduled to be. BRB going to see if Sherdog imploded.

I don't know who beats Jones at 205. He's going to murder Rashad. I would flat out love to see Anderson Silva come up to 205 and fight Jones. Rampage would be fun to watch - only because he hits so hard he might have a chance, plus he can absorb about 50 elbows to the head without batting an eye. He's too plodding and slow to have anything but a punchers chance tho.

Maybe Fedor's younger brother will make finally his MMA debut this year. He currently competes in Sambo. I seen a picture of him next to Fedor and he was way taller than Fedor.

Someone will need to take Jones out. We don't need another GSP or Silva where the same guys hold the belt forever!

Machida has the best chance style wise. Phil Davis also after a few more wins.

Good luck, their servers can't handle the traffic right now.

Is it sad that I was looking forward to getting home and seeing how this thread was going?

Style wise? What, defense and attempt to counter? Not when JJ could just jab all day and the Dragon is wiffin on air.

Didn't say machida would dominate. Said he would have a chance. He's super quick, and his tdd is top notch. I'd love to see jones move up to hw if Davis wins the title in the future. Could be a super fight in the making 2 or 3 years down the line.

as long as jonny keeps finishing fights i don't care how long he is the champ, same w/ silva most of their fights are just straight up exciting. GSP on the other hand, he's a winner and an athlete, but he's no fighter.

If you bet on all the betting odd favorites for this event, you would have won 11/12, with the only loss in the Almeida fight which was one of the closer odds. It's not usually that good of a bet is it?

Davis's stand-up is bad but he's a great rassler. I see him running into trouble with several other top LHW's and not even getting to Jones.

Jones' main weakness at this point is only his gas tank. Since he's breaking noses and orbital bones inside of 3 rounds though that doesn't seem to be a problem.
