Can't wait. Should be good. Michada is getting hyped like crazy right now. I like shogun but wonder if he can beat Machida.

I threw $200 on Shogun because he is +300, but I have a feeling it was more of a donation to my sports book.

That's impossible. He's like Fei Long. It'll be difficult for his Ultra to connect though with Shogun.

Machida is gonna whoop ass, Shogun was one of the best in Pride but Machida has DRAGON KARATE ERA on his side. I saw the UFC videos they made on him, the dude came out his mama's womb doing Karate and since has practiced it 18 hours a day every single day. I don't even think he went to school, he just studied Karate. Shogun can't fuck with the Dragon, if it goes longer than a round it will be because Machida will fight using his brain. Shogun has power and a punchers chance, so he might be cautious. But Machida will win, weather it's a KO or he dominates every round and takes the unanimous decision.

Machida has better Karate, his Judo's outstanding, he has good wrestling, his ground game is better, he's faster and I think he might even have more power. I don't know about his Maui Thai, but his Judo should offset any clinching Shogun attempts. Also, his TD defense is sick, Sokoudjou took him down pretty easy, but his Judo is world class. Also he has some of the best defense of anyone in MMA and is a crazy strategist. Add all that up I don't see how Shogun wins this, outside of a lucky punch, but even then I don't think he's quick enough to hit Machida so that's doubtful. I have nothing against Shogun but tonight isn't his night to win.

Machida should bag this one, in the second I think. TKO.

Spike is showing the undercard tonight.

"If you have a dream, go ahead! It's impossible!" Machida's the man.

Edit: they edited the commercial to make him say "it's possible". They also changed "infamy" to "greatness". Guess someone in marketing finally looked up the definition of infamy.

I've got second round TKO too. I think Shogun's smart enough not to just come out swinging in the first against a counter-striker. But I think Machida will frustrate him and he'll be more aggressive in the second.

Prelims starting on Spike. Pretty awesome to have em commercial-free before the PPV.

Take notes GSP. That's how you do a backflip.

prelim was great -> Vader vs Red
surprised Red didnt do better since Vader is one dimentional (only brawler). no need to worry about submission

He missed weight and his opponent agreed to fight anyway and AJ had to give 20% of his purse to Yoshida.

I see Spencer Fisher clinching then going for an ill-advised takedown and getting stuck in a guillotine.
