Apparently people are having all sorts of copy protection errors with Vegas2. Ubisoft hasn't been able to fix them for most users, so some people with legal copies have resorted to using a no-dvd crack by the scene group RELOADED to get around the copy protection so they can play their game. Ubisoft has banned users from discussing the no-dvd crack on their forums, even banning some users apparently.
So now ubisoft released a patch to fix the game. Someone opened it up in a hex editor and noticed they stole, renamed, and distributed RELOADED's no-dvd crack and passed it off as their own patch.
