U2 Remake of All Along the Watchtower

I don't know why some bands feel they need to destroy good songs. It just saddens me.

No kidding. U2's remake of Gloria didn't even sound like the real one. They didn't even do G-L-O-R-I-A Glooooooria in it. Sheesh.

:thumbsdown: for Alanis Morrissette's cover of "Crazy" by Seal. Geez, it was like a bad Duran Duran parody or something.

I think it's teh win.

Is it as God awful as Dave Mathews version?
Never heard that tool's version. First time I had heard the U2 version. Radio station was playing it while I was at lunch. It was a live recording and was bad. Kept listening just to try and figure out who was slaughtering the song. Finally after it was over the DJ said it was U2. I can't begin to describe how bad it was.

U2 = SUCK

Amen. Why can't people just leave well enough alone? Hendrix is certainly more than well-enough.

Umm Hendrix didn?t write the song, he just covered it.
If bob Dylan were dead he'd be spinning in his grave. As it is he's just pissed that Tom Petty is slowing turning into him.

there should be certain artists protected by legislation prohibiting remakes of their songs.

Hendrix is definitely among them.
