Typo on my resume

So I was applying to some jobs with a redesigned resume and on the top right corner where my address is the funky NewsgothBT font the "t" and "f" look alike. So when I put
"....E. 61sf St." I didn?t notice it until I sent out like 7 or so job applications. I noticed it on the 8th and fixed it (as I actually viewed the pasted text in a different font).

Now I know that misspellings are a big no-no on resumes, but otherwise it?s impeccable, I just wonder how the HR dept. is going to see this. Should I dismiss those jobs I applied to with the assumption that the document is going to be sent right to the garbage? Should I send a follow-up letter? It is real embarrassing and I am not sure of what to do, when I found out i almost threw my laptop through the window.

ya generally speaking if a lot of people applied to that same position, and their resume looks "over done" with weird ass fonts and stuff, they chuck em out even b4 looking at them

Yes, your chances at getting those seven jobs are ruined now. I can't imagine any employer would want to hire someone who types "61sf St." instead of "61st St." Convicted felons have a better chance then you. Enjoy your unemployment.

I think if you could be fooled, they could also be fooled into thinking your f looks like a t with your crazy font...

In addition, you shouldn't use crazy ass fonts

Auctually the font isn't terrible it's just that the "t" and the "f" look so much alike due to the "t" being slightly elongated. I mean its a clean design, just that one thing....

oh the laptop is a compaq x1200. If you dont mind the HDD taking a crap on you randomly then its great Chinese craftsmanship.

Well I'm not expecting any sympathy from HR but when you copy and paste your resume you don't have as much of a chance to review your typing as the formatting is all jacked up in the first place. If I had printed it on paper I would have noticed it... Word doesn't look for that sort of thing and it "looked" right when I glanced at it. Unfortunately I was looking the rest of the document over more diligently than the address..

Half of my recruiters can't spell for anything. Don't worry about it too much, especially if the typeface is close enough that they wouldn't notice it in a quick read through.

If you applied online, putting your resume into a database, then chances are if you upload a new version it will overwrite the old one.

Think ill take HotChic's advice and reapply, hopefully it will overwrite the previous application.. worst case i'll just have two submissions in, hopefully they will read the updated one....

yeah the font used here at ATOT is readable.

I hate buisness signs that are so "stylish" that I can not read them.

Why am I not surprised that someone who thinks "b4" is a word would have a typo in something as important as their resume?
