Typing URL into browsers...

When you type in a URL into the address bar of your browser, do you include a '/' at the end?

For example, do you type:

http://www.google.com/
or
http://www.google.com

Edit: Forgot to mention, I put a '/' at the end for some reason.

You do know that you can get Firefox to do that as well right?

Yes, but not without some fancy extension or changing some setting. Opera comes with the feature by default

Well, you don't need to install anything. Simply bookmark the search box (as opposed to any other spot on the page) and it should work.

Edit: Either that or it's a result of the google toolbar I have. Can't remember which, lol.

Why would I bookmark Google.com

The search bar comes built in in both Firefox and Opera.

Firefox just defaults to "I'm feeling lucky" (Not even that sometimes? ) while Opera defaults to the results page when using the g command from the address bar.

I'd like it the Opera way around too, but if you type "google <terms>" then it does the same thing as "g <terms>" in Opera.

Having to type out the whole word kind of defeats the whole purpose of the shortcut doesn't it?

Using google <terms> though, it still doesn't take me to the results page in FF 1.0.6. It just takes me to a different result. :roll:
