If those guys aren't the guys who did it (and I'm assuming if you're smart enough to cobble together a bomb, you're not dumb enough to show your face where you know there will be a zillion cameras), the media is just going to wreck their lives

It wouldn't be the first time.

It's hard for me to put faith in it because while the FBI says that they have two suspects they have not released photos. The only people pointing to these photos are the news agencies. They could be scouring 4Chan as much as the rest of us :p.

fox news reporter stated in several segments that he saw the pic the FBI released to law enforcement eyes only.

I know its tabloid but still damning headline report. http://www.nypost.com/

Great "report" by the Post... The photo at the top shows and highlights the two people "authorities are looking for". But nowhere in the body of the article does it say that the photo the Post shows is the one being circulated. It even goes as far as to say that it's a law enforcement interal document/circulation only.

By the way, you can't see that guy's hands in the crowd when he doesn't appear to be wearing a back pack... If you've ever been in a crowd or ridden on public transit, you'd know that it's courtesy to remove a large pack so you don't nail everything around you when moving.

You know that the internet has done nothing right?

The film to identify these suspects are from cameras from a store and tv crew that nobody here has seen, right?

One of the suspects is supposedly wearing a black jacket, gray hoodie underneath and wearing a white/off-white baseball hat backwards. Is there a photo on the internet of this person?

I don't know that and you don't know that because nobody has seen anything official. All I said is it would be cool if a community cracked the case before law enforcement. It would give terrorists something new to worry about.

Hear you go guys, not the suspects - http://deadspin.com/the-boston-bombing-witch-hunt-bags-another-innocent-kid-476001019

FU NYPost. Hope nobody hurts these kids. Internet crime solvers. Give me a fucking break, you jokers.

There we go, I knew this was going to happen.

This armchair detective stuff can be really dangerous. I don't why people insist on fucking with investigations like this. Just submit personally taken, unmodified pictures directly to the correct agencies and be done with it. Spreading this shit on the internet does nothing but cause problems and confusion.

Good. at least they didn't falsely convict an innocent person. Caveman you need to chill out, it's not like people are calling for a noose for all these people...we're just trying to figure it out like everyone else.

Let me ask you something, do you accept the official story that there was NOT uniformed officers conducting a bomb drill with bomb sniffing dogs and rooftop observers?

The cops are useless and everyone on the internet is smarter than everyone else. Didn't ja know?

NY Post should be fined millions of dollars for being such a retarded company.

There's figuring out and there's starting a witch hunt, which was exactly what the NY Post article was doing. The Post's top managers should all be jailed.

There is plenty of disgrace to go around. NYPost is just doing the same thing the idiotic public is.

There's a difference between internet amateurs and actual companies or business that are making a profit off of bullshit. Heavy fines and even jail sentences may bring some sort of accuracy and confirmation on facts, what news actually should be.

It's a Rupert Murdoch owned company, they live to fuck people over. See: All the Rupert Murdoch owned newspapers in London and the cell phone hacking scandal.

I wonder if those guys can sue NYPost for this. Something needs to happen to stop these news agencies from just regurgitating internet rumors.

Supposedly he stated he was heading to the court to prove he is innocent, hopefully this isn't too much of a drawn out process for him. It would suck getting caught up in this just because you are a spectator.

Why do you keep calling for jail time? People make mistakes. Should we put you in jail everytime you misspell a word or release methane gas into the atmosphere when you fart? The whole holier than thou thing went out in the 80's man, we're all human, let it go.

Really? You're calling what the NYPost did a simple human mistake? I can't facepalm any harder.

You want people to go to jail for asking people to help identify two guys holding backpacks in a crime scene where two bombs inside backpacks were detonated? What crime did they commit exactly?

Wyndru, of course they can sue and they will probably get a nice payday out of it. That is their recourse as this is NOT A CRIMINAL ACT Sano.

So I'm not allowed an opinion? Can you let me know what else I am not allowed to disagree with you about so I can avoid further personal insults and mockery?

It seems the NY Post is just reposting reddit/4chan internet detective bullshit without any official source and they possibly lied about the government looking for those 2 individuals. Looks pretty malicious to me. Do you remember Richard Jewell and how his life was ruined because the media pointed him out as a suspect when he wasn't the bomber? How about we point you out as a suspect?

They're saying on the news this morning that baseball cap guy in those previous pics may actually be the bomber. If the Internet cracked this case it could be a historic moment.

Yea, but they were circling any number of people wearing packs and bags, including two National Guardsmen. And they were pointing at the sack of water bottles that were on the street side of the fencing when the bomb clearly detonated on the sidewalk side.
News coverage is just sad. They seem compelled (by us) to show the visual eye candy, whether it's still relevant or not. They're still using those same clips/pics and asking the what ifs and could it bes.
The law says they have store surveillance showing a person drop a bag. I haven't seen that released yet.
It's human nature. I do it too. We have to be careful not to take the few pics/clips we have seen as the complete picture.

For what?

As I said before, they could have worded the tag better but for them to be seeking info on two guys carrying backpacks in a crime scene where two backpacks were detonated with bombs is not really that far-fetched. What is with all you sanctimonious holier than thou people anyways? I am starting to see why the whole country is turning against the left lately. I know I regret voting for Obama and defending all you yahoos in P&N the last couple of years.

You have all revealed yourselves to be exactly what they righties you demonize say you are....lol Sad, really.

The very fact that you don't give a shit about innocent people being put through a meat grinder and the media (a rupert murdoch rag, no less) getting away with it is really eye opening. You really do belong on the right.

Next, Pr0digy is going to explain to us how Rupert Murdoch's newspapers in London hacking innocent people's cell phones was a noble journalistic endeavor.
