Can you inform us of the results, I need to get one more stick of 512mb DDR3200 since my 2nd 8inxp is on the way.
 
I just tested a pair of the Twinmos w/Winbond $76 sticks, and like all good ram from good companies,
it is rated on the conservative side. It easily ran 200MHs fsb 6-2-2-2, which is better than the CAS 2.5 it's rated at.

But CAS 2.0 performance is not all that important.
Epox 8RDA+ with dual channel, Twinmos w/Winbond, and XP1700+ at 200MHz x 10 (6-2-2-2) scored Sandra memory 3095/2904.
Newegg Samsung True PC2700 in same system, 205x10 (6-3-3-2.5) scored Sandra 3159/2897.

I was able to hit 11004 in 3dm2k1se with this memory, while Samsung PC2700 only hit 10975. Less than 1% boost.
Point is, it may not be worth the extra cash to get the best sticks if performance gains are only slight.
Had a pair of Corsair PC3500XMS last week, and they performed about the same as these Twinmos sticks.

Will be testing the Twinmos w/Twinmos next week.

I hope you know what you're talking about cause I've been saving up to buy some Corsair PC3200XMS or PC3500XMS for the Epox 8RDA+ I plan on buying, but now I'm not so sure. Anybody else agree with RobsTV?




 
I cannot substantiate my claims, but rumor has it that the Corsair PC3500's use the same Winbond 5ns chips that are on the TwinMos modules.
I can however, vouch for these chips as they work wonderfully in my 8RDA+. I have a pair of 256 sticks and they run at 200, 2225 with ease. I have gotten to 215, 215 with 2.63v on the 8RDA+, great modules.

DC DDR is Dual Channel DDR. Used in chipsets such as nForce1&2, Granite Bay, and the SiS655.

stick to get for performance at best price, and MemoryX is the place to get it from.

You can ignore the CAS ratings somewhat when you get good memory from a good manufacturer.
This stuff is a good example of that.
In testing this PC3200 CAS2.5 always performs as good or better than top of the line Corsair PC3500 sticks.

There are really only 2 brands of memory to get if you want the best made today.
Twinmos or Corsair, and with Twinmos priced about 30% less, it's easy to see the Hot Deal.

Nope stevejst, don't have a GC69.
Tested with the good old $5 GC68 at speeds above 205MHz fsb, and temps rarely hit above 42c, but that's another thread.
Check out the SVC GC68's 41c temp in system tray at 205MHz fsb (Image was with Samsung PC2700 CAS 2.5 in 8k5a2 KT333)
Everyday speed with 1700+ TBred "B" is 190x10.5 (2GHz), at less than 40c.
 
Just ordered a pair of 256mb twinmos/winbonds for my 8rda+ and xp2100. Right now she is runing at 13x170 with crucial pc2100 @ SPD 7-3-3-2. Hoping to run these in synch at 5-2-2-2 and maybe a 180 FSB 🙂
 
I've used the 256MB PC2700 stick and it performs very well. I've run it as high as 186MHz CAS2 and 204MHz CAS2.5.

Damn, I ordered a day too early. Ordered them yesterday from memoryx for $76 each with the cheapest shipping and today they are down to $74 per stick. DAMN, I could have used it to upgrade shipping :-(

Well, lets see how good their customer service is. I just sent them an email stating that the order I placed yesterday which probably hasnt shipped yet (havent received tracking info yet) has dropped $4 in price and instead of cancelling and reordering to save $4, if they could bump me to 2nd day shipping which $4 should get me. We shall say, cant hurt!

Update for anyone who cares (not sure if anyone does really). Turns out problem with my CC verification (ongoing problem with my bank). Got that cleared up and the very nice CS lady at Memoryx upgraded me to 3 day UPS shipping from Ground due to the price change in RAM, so I am happy with their service soo far.
 
I just ordered two $59. sticks of this stuff for my A7N8X-Deluxe - it is on the memory compatibility chart for it: link. I've been running Samsung pc2700 DTM's at 200 fsb, Cas 2.5-3-3-6. I am looking for 200 fsb at Cas 2-2-2-5 with this TwinMoss. Will post results here when I get it in a few days.
 
This looks like a very good deal. Will these sticks do CAS 2 at 180MHz?

I have a 512mb stick of Corsair XMS3200 CAS2 that I paid around $180 for. 😱 Run it in my Epox 8RDA+. I've had it at 205MHz CAS2 and 215MHz CAS 2.5 🙂

I'd like to try dual-channel (i.e. get 2 256mb sticks of TwinMOS) but don't want to give up my 180 FSB (I'm over 2GHz right now and would like to stay there.)
 
Just installed mine on my 8rda+ and xp2100.
Right now @ 195x11.5 (2.15ghz) 5-2-2-2. been running prime 95 for 15mn or so and soo far soo good 🙂
If all is good tonite, I will bump it up to 200 x11. I had it @ 12.5X190, but prime failed within 10sec.
 
I cancelled my TwinMoss order because ExcaliberPC had HyperX 256MB pc3500 for $70 over the weekend. So I bought two sticks. Its running at my mb's limit of 200MHz fsb at Cas 2-2-2-6. I am very happy with it. Excellent service from Excaliber too. I got it the day after I ordered it, with their cheapest shipping. I live close by though.

Noit a bad move, if I saw it I would have jumped on it too. I am quite happy with the windbond for now tho.
