Has this been posted? I didn't read all the pages.

This is the model line up, brand by brand.

Edit: This looks like an interesting card. Detachable heatsink options.

.

After looking at that second link . . .

I know Colorful tends to do weird stuff, but why would you make the heat fins practically cover the auxiliary power connectors? And the vent in the bracket is so small it is pretty much going to exhaust all the heat into the case . . .

I'm guessing that hang-on radiator heatsink is one of (the) removable units. That's purely speculation though.

Really no point going for the 660ti. 7950 is just better when 1050-1100mhz on core is easy achievable on stock voltage or with minor voltage bump. I got mine to 1200/1600 on air pretty easily.

Wow. They are giving away cards for free! Let me guess why. They're not selling? Average price for the 7950 is $350 so that is one exception and in no way a price comparison standard to the 660Ti. Which, by the way, wasn't priced yet. And which is competition with the 7870. Do you think it will match the performance of a 7950? I mean in reviews where they test reference cards.

I've seen swedish pricing in the high 300s... so somewhere around 300 here. 7870s are available for lower than 300 now. I think a 660ti could match a 7950 in games with no AA settings ;)

What do you, or any other consumer, care why something is priced better than the competition? It just is. Go out, take advantage, and buy it. Unless you are suggesting that people be lemmings and buy something just because others are?

So now we are judging by average price? So, 680 2gig cards run from $500-$600. It's a $550 card?

The 4gig versions? By your logic they must be selling like hotcakes. The price is through the ceiling, averaging $600. Quick everyone, go out and buy a 680 for $600. I know the price is high, but that's because they are just so awesome that everyone else is buying them!

It's not that bad. Its 8xAA, so that is sort of worst case for the cards configuration, and extreme tessellation. It's within 10% of a 7950 from this review.
That graphics score in 3d11 is the same as my o/c sli setup. If the card was a little cheaper they will fly off the shelves.
The 7950 launched at 450.00. After all.

In your opinion what's the competition? There is only one 7950 priced at 309$ and that's where you live. The other dozen are around 350$. In my book this means get it if you have the money because next week all you'll see will be 350$ cards. In my country the cheapest is 450$.

When you compare two similar products you bet I go for the average price and not after one brand, one product that is discounted in one store. There are great deals for EVERY card that's out there but than doesn't mean you compare prices to deals.

We don't know how the 660Ti will be priced and we don't know its performance so it seems a bit strange that somebody is already recommending that the 7950 is a better deal and specifically that MSI card.

Well, if you are going to do average pricing and prices from everywhere make sure you do it all of the time. Price comparisons on these boards typically revolve around Newegg prices. Occasionally, when someone else has a great deal, we'll see pricing extend to Canada.

By the way, "where I live" prices don't line up with others on these boards. 670's have always been at least $100 more than 7950's. Same with 680 vs. 7970. I don't expect the 660ti to have any value to it either. I don't bother talking my local prices though because they are mostly irrelevant to the rest of the members.

If the 660ti is $300 people should be comparing it to the 7950, IMO. That's yet to be seen, but that's the projected price. If it does end up performing at ~7870 levels, I'll be curious to see people trying to justify it at a higher price. Just like they do with the 670 and 680.

They really hamstrung it by only putting 24 rop's. IMO any card coming out in 2012 should have 32 rop's.

But I guess this is how they build the value into their line, if it had 32 rop's there would be no point in buying the higher model cards as the 660 ti would be sufficient for pretty much everything.
